This artistically converted barn is made up of two buildings and accommodates up to 15 guests, 11 in the main barn and four in the cottage. It has been sympathetically renovated to accentuate the original features whilst providing a comfortable and relaxing space. As you step through the door of the main barn you're welcomed into a handy utility room, a perfect space for shedding coats and muddy boots after a day of exploring. Head through to the well-appointed, country-style kitchen where a traditional Aga oven stands ready to whip up holiday feasts for the group, who can gather in the charming dining room to enjoy the chef’s work. At the centre of the home is the great hall with comfortable seating and a tall, crackling wood burner, creating the ideal setting for cosy evenings with loved ones. The vaulted ceiling and double-height windows also make this space feel light and airy when the sun is shining. Down two steps, there’s another entrance area with double patio doors to the enclosed garden. The snug leads off from here with a Smart TV and board games for younger members of the group to enjoy. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor, one double and one with two sets of bunk beds that the kids will love. The family bathroom is off the entrance hall and is also connected to the bunk room. Journeying up the open staircase to the first floor, you’ll find another three bedrooms. Down two steps to a twin bedroom, the master bedroom with a four-poster metal framed bed and en-suite bathroom. Back at the top of the stairs is a balcony/walkway leading to a bedroom with a single bed. A well-appointed shower room completes this floor. Next door, the cottage is self-contained and ideal for those wanting their own space. As you enter, you’re welcomed into a sitting room, comfortably furnished, with a vaulted ceiling and exposed beams. Walk through to the kitchen/diner with a traditional farmhouse-style kitchen providing all you need to whip up a quick lunch if you’re on the go. The bedrooms are at either end of the cottage, both with sumptuous double beds, one has an en-suite bathroom and the other an en-suite shower room.

Outside offers an enclosed garden with a covered patio area outside the main barn and an uncovered patio outside the cottage. There is garden furniture on both patios to enjoy al fresco dining or watch the sun set with a glass in hand. Wild meadows also surround you, adding to the peaceful, remote atmosphere of the property.

We have just returned from a brilliant week at Field Barn, Ringstead. The properties were ideal for 15 of us to share ranging from age 3 to 74. The facilities were great and the barn and cottage were very unique with lots of character. The grounds were wonderful for the grandchildren to play in. We loved watching the sunsets each evening and were Read moreblessed with good weather. The nearest beach was less than a 10 minute drive away and I would highly recommend this for a family holiday. Field Barn is a fantastic property for a large family gathering as ours was. The fully enclosed garden is brilliant for young children to safely run around and the separate cottage provides a sanctuary to those needing a retreat. Beautiful setting and well equipped. Would definitely go back.

We absolutely loved our stay in Field Barn and the Cottage next door. What a gem! The beds were comfortable, the towels fluffy and the water hot. There was lots of cooking and eating equipment, a large fridge freezer and most importantly an amazing view and peaceful surroundings. We saw hares, deer and kites out of the window as well as long tailedRead more tits flitting about. It is a sociable place with plenty of seating on the comfy sofas and out on the picnic benches in the sunshine. It is conveniently located for visiting the area. We walked on three beautiful beaches, seeing seals as well as coastal birds. The village shop is handy and the walks straight from the house pleasant. We would absolutely recommend this barn and the adjoining cottage to family groups or friendship groups. Hide
