Enjoy a truly warm welcome at this interesting cottage adjoining the owner's C17 farmhouse, with wonderful views across the Menai Straits to Caernarfon and Snowdonia from the garden and sun room. Situated in a rural location just outside the village of Brynsiencyn, 5 miles to the famous village of Llanfairpwllgwyngyll.., 7 miles to the stunning Newborough beach and around 7 miles to the university city of Bangor.
‘Foel farm just outside the village was very popular with my children when they where younger! It has a lovely friendly atmosphere where you can feed and hold the animals, go for a fun tractor ride or short, led pony ride. There is also a café and chocolate workshop where you can see chocolates being made’ from Jacky, our local property manager
The Cottage: is full of character, mostly single storey with a few steps inside. Eira, the owner who lives next door, is on hand to help you make your holiday run a smoothly as possible. The cottage is dog friendly. Central heating and plenty of parking. An open crog loft, with steep stairs leading up, provides an extra bedroom with a single bed.
The Living Room: this open-plan living/dining room and kitchen has been renovated with charm, using local reclaimed materials. There is a feature fireplace with a woodburning stove (initial logs supplied) and Freeview TV/DVD/CD, Amazon Alexa and WiFi (Super Fast Fibre Broadband) ,portal for fire stick available on TV. There is a dining area with table and chairs. 4 x USB charging points in this room.
The Kitchen: the well-equipped, handmade kitchen has a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, electric cooker and microwave. (guests also have access to a washing machine in the games area). The kitchen is well set up for home cooking with plenty of pans and cooking equipment.
The Sun Room: adjoining the living room is this lovely sun room with views of fields to one side and across the garden on the other. There is a selection of smart conservatory furniture and an electric heater for the cooler days.
There are two pretty ground floor bedrooms and the crog loft.
Bedroom 1: the double bedroom with kind size bed looks over the garden, has a built-in wardrobe and lots of extras such as a radio and bath robes.
Bedroom 2: is a twin room with a garden view, again with a built-in wardrobe and lots of extras.
The Crog loft: has an additional single bed and is accessed up a steep ladder so not suitable for young children.
The Family Bathroom: is a smart modern shower room, fully tiled, with a heated towel rail and underfloor heating, a corner shower cubicle with large shower head and shower seat.
Outside: at the front is plenty of parking space and a pretty cottage garden. At the back are lawned gardens with a small football goal and a paved area with seating and a barbeque. The views over the Menai Straits to Caernarfon castle are lovely.
Games room: Table football, TV, Xbox one, washing machine, sofa. Bike rack attached to the side of the games room holding 3 bikes
Brynsiencyn is a small village in an excellent location for exploring some of Anglesey’s best beaches and historical sites. Just outside the village is an ancient ritual site as old as the Egyptian pyramids, which is close to some of the tallest standing stones in Wales dating from the Bronze Age. The vast Llanddwyn beach and Newborough Forest, with its cycling and walking trails, is a short drive away, as is the popular Anglesey Sea Zoo and the National Trust's Plas Newydd. Foel Farm is just outside the village and popular with children who can hold the animals and go on a tractor ride. The Snowdonia National Park is about 12 miles away with its picturesque lakes, mountains and castles.
