Enjoy a peaceful and romantic getaway with your special someone in this cosy and comfortable former stable, situated on the edge of the Norfolk Broads. Barton Turf and nearby Neatishead (less than 0.5 miles) offer stand-out locations for enjoying Norfolk’s crown-in-glory national park. Wander on down to the closest of the broads, Barton Broad (0.5 miles), admiring the majestic River Ant along the way. You can rent a boat to spend a day exploring the waters or mosey along footpaths and cycle routes close by. Discover both coastal and city attractions within 15 miles; Sea Palling (8 mile) with its sandy bays and calm waters, makes for a great day out. The Norfolk Coast Path passes through the beach, providing mile upon mile of picturesque walking trails. The historic city of Norwich (10 miles) offers an abundance of shops, pubs, and restaurants if you fancy a day of retail therapy. Just 300 yards from the property the highly rated local pub serves food all day, and the Community Shop is there also, and provides most of what you might need on a daily basis.

From the parking area you enter the cottage into a hallway space where you can kick off walking boots and shed coats. From here, walk past the well-appointed shower room and through to the kitchen which is well-equipped with everything a couple would need to whip up memorable, intimate feasts. Enjoy the chef’s work in the lounge/diner, where natural light and peaceful garden views flow through the window. After eating, sink into this room’s comfortable sofa and catch up on your favourite shows on the Smart TV. When eyelids start to feel heavier, retire to the delightful double bedroom that completes the cosy cottage.

Outside, you have access to your very own private garden with a patio area and garden furniture – the perfect spot to sit and enjoy some al fresco dining. This little cottage is a perfect central base for exploring this corner of Norfolk. The accommodation is clean, comfortable and relaxing to stay in. The situation is quiet with only natural sounds of the local wildlife. Parking is easy. The cottage is ample for two people with well provided and easy to use facilities. The local shop is ideal foRead morer basics. There are shops in nearby Wroxham which supply all you could possibly need and less than a ten minute drive away. The owners provided us with a warm welcome and then left us to our own devices in the knowledge that help was quickly and readily available should we need it. Strongly recommended for a stress free break. Hide

The cottage is very well equipped and in a lovely quiet setting with the patio area being a sun trap The weather was lovely during our stay 11th -15th April but dropped cool in the evening so the underfloor heating in the cottage was very useful later on . We found it a good base for exploring the area .

A comfortable and relaxing property in a very good location. We would definitely consider returning to this property, despite the bed which creaks when moving about.
