Peaceful and completely relaxing. Even though it rained off and on for a couple of days, it didn't affect our holiday. We went for a complete break from the hassle of work, etc and this was absolutely ideal. I think we heard a couple of cars over the week and that was it other than the birds in the trees and the cows in the fields.

We had the most wonderful stay at The Cider House while celebrating our anniversary. Steve and Jans cottage is set in such a lovely location, peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by beautiful scenery. It was exactly what we were hoping for and instantly made us relax. Inside, the cottage is stunning and so tastefully decorated, with everything you couldRead more possibly need for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable with lovely sheets and pillows, and the shower was fantastic, wonderfully hot with brilliant pressure, which we absolutely loved. Cleanliness throughout was faultless. The welcome pack was really thoughtful and gave us all the information we needed, including clear and helpful instructions for the log fire, which we enjoyed using during our stay. When we ran out of logs, Steve and Jan kindly brought us some more. We felt a bit cheeky asking and ended up buying a few of our own as well, leaving the extras behind for them - hopefully that was okay! Steve and Jan were such warm and welcoming hosts. They checked in to make sure we were settled, gave us great recommendations for the local area, and even provided extra toilet rolls when we needed them, nothing was ever too much trouble. Overall, it was an amazing stay and we were genuinely sad to leave. The Cider House is a truly charming place, and we would absolutely love to return in the future. Thank you so much for such a memorable stay. Hide

What a fantastic location. If you are craving peace, dark skies, countryside and yet be only a few miles from the nearest town (Launceston), then this is the place for you. We had a wonderful few days enjoying the cottage so a big thank you to Steve and Jan for their warm welcome and attention to detail. The cottage is well equipped and the bed iRead mores wonderfully comfortable. The log burner was a big plus for us as was the free supply of logs provided. The coast is only about 13 or so miles away and there are so many beautiful beaches on the north coast of Devon/Cornwall - you are honestly spoilt for choice! The Cider House is a delight and I would absolutely recommend this to anyone. Hide

We had a fantastic stay at The Cider House. It was extremely well equipped and it felt like a real home away from home. With a comfy soft bed to sleep in after scaling the rocks at the beach and a nice sofa to cosy up on watching our favourite tv shows. We would definitely stay again in the future!

Beautiful clean cottage. Roof windows needed to be accessed to open as it got hot inside. In the middle of no-where, which we didnt realise, so was a pain travelling to/from everyday
