The popular, award-winning resort of Bude is only 18 miles away and offers something for all the family with plenty of shops, cafes and not forgetting its wide sandy beach, coastal walks and sea pool. Other attractions and places of interest include Dartmoor National Park (13 miles), Launceston Steam Railway (14 miles) and numerous National Trust places all within 20 miles, including Lanhydrock, Lydford Gorge, and Boscastle. For the more adventurous, try the activity centre at Roadford Lake (4 miles). When the night draws in, retreat up to your choice of two bedrooms, one housing a king-size bed and the other twin beds, both with the added conveniences of attached en-suites, one with a bath and WC, and another with a shower and WC.

Stepping outside from the lounge will lead you straight out onto the enclosed decking area. With outdoor seating for all, it is the perfect spot for that morning cuppa and al fresco breakfast to aid in planning for the day’s adventures ahead. You can relax after a busy day at the beach by making the most of these views and enjoy a Devon sunset or gaze at the stars on a clear night. We were impressed with the cottage overall, and found it to be clean and well supplied. The hosts were friendly, and available without being intrusive. We especially enjoyed the cream tea on arrival, which was a nice touch. The cottage setting is quiet and free from light pollution. We would definitely stay again, and would recommend.

Lovely cottage, Very remote location, very quiet and peaceful. Warm and comfortable. Great owners and neighbours. Lovely to hear the farm animals throughout the day. Both first floor bedrooms had en-suite facilities, one with a shower cubicle and the twin room has a shower over bath. A fully equipped open plan kitchen with dining table and a Read morecomfortable lounge area with full length sliding doors to decking and various seating areas. There is a small TV with DVD player in the living room (no TV's in the bedrooms) with a selection of films. Also board games and books available. The WiFi was good with only a couple of drop outs during our stay but not bad for such a rural location. Overall, we were made to feel welcome and enjoyed the peace and quiet during our stay. Hide

Little Wagtail is a lovely cottage. Its well equipped throughout, very comfortable and the owners are extremely welcoming and available should you need their assistance. The location is very peaceful but, central enough to shops and beaches or country walks. We will certainly be doing a return visit

The cottage was warm & cosy and very well equipped. And the welcome cream tea was very tasty, the fruit scones were delicious! Lovely area and a trip to Bude is highly recommended. Bill & Caroline were friendly and chatty when we meet them out in the lane.

Little Wagtail was a wonderful place to spend our week's holiday this year. Humans and dogs were extremely well catered for with everything provided we could need. The beds were very comfortable, I've not slept that well for a long time - oh, and the pressure in the shower was excellent too! Often holiday home pictures give an enhanced impressioRead moren, not this time - Little Wagtail was at least as excellent as the photographs suggested it would be. Well situated for days out to Bude, Tintagel, Saunton Sands and Tavistock provided humans and dogs alike with fun outings. Definitely the best holiday home that we've stayed at so far. Thoroughly recommended. Hide

Excellent accommodation . We were very happy with this cottage. Wagtail had everything we needed. Cleanliness was excellent, the beds were very comfortable and the owners had thought of everything.
