Surrounding areas offer captivating attractions such as Aysgarth Falls (10 miles), a series of stunning waterfalls, and the historic Bolton Castle (12 miles), which invites visitors to explore its medieval architecture and lush gardens. An ideal base for exploring the expansive Dales, the Pennine Way runs through the village and the picturesque Ribblehead Viaduct is just 11 miles away.

As you step into this characterful cottage, you are warmly welcomed by the charm of a country kitchen. Equipped with anything you could need, it invites you to indulge in the joy of preparing meals, boasting a farmhouse table where you can savour leisurely breakfasts to start your day. The ambiance seamlessly transitions into the cosy lounge, adorned with a wood burner that promises a snug retreat during chilly evenings. We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. It was warm, cosy and had everything we needed for a lovely weekend break. Beds were comfy and we especially loved the under floor heating in the bathroom! The cottage has been renovated to a high standard and we felt right at home. There isnt parking outside the property but we were able to get a spot just uRead morep the road each day which was less than a minute walk to the cottage. Thanks for such a great stay and we hope to visit again in the future! Hide

We had a lovely few days in Hillwell House. It is beautifully renovated, very comfortable and everything you need for a home from home has been thought of. Beds are comfortable and bedding high quality. With easy access to Hawes for places to eat and shops and also lots of lovely walks on your doorstep it was a perfect stay for us. There is no Read morededicated parking, but easy parking just down the very quiet lane, and no issues. And, we loved the couches, thought they really suited the property and were very comfy - its all a matter of taste :) Hide

On opening the door we were impressed how well the cottage was presented, not at all like a holiday home. It was spotlessly clean, very comfortable with modern touches. The oven does take a while to heat up and needs to be factored into preparing meals but otherwise it was well equipped. After unloading outside the cottage, parking was about 100 meRead moretres away on a quiet road. We had a thoroughly enjoyable short break and would happily return. Hide

Beautiful cottage that has been renovated with sympathetic understanding to the original building. Added bonus decorated to our style. We managed to get to the top of the garden on our last day and it would have been the perfect place for a glass of wine in the evening sun had we had the sun and warmth, maybe next time. Gorgeous traditional Yorkshire cottage with a lovely 'wild' garden, also great for the sun. Very comfortable and well equipped. Great location in a quiet lane only minutes by foot to the centre of Hawes. Walks on the doorstep. Very happily stay here again!

Amazing location! Superb cottage which was such a pleasure stay at. Cosy, comfortable, spacious and well equipped. The Christmas decorations were perfect! Will definitely be back!!

This is a cosy welcoming cottage in a quiet location. Beautiful walks from the door and such a lovely place to return to. The kitchen is well equipped and the Esse range is a delight to use. We saw a barn owl from the bedroom window one morning. Parking is about 100m up the road and the outside is a little unsuitable for those less mobile. Fantastic cottage located just outside of Hawes village, quiet location but easy walking distance into the village. Probably one of the best cottages we have stayed at. The cottage was renovated to a high standard, keeping original features although adding modern touches to make it a comfy stay. Would highly recommend a stay here.
