The fishing lakes on site are brimming with some of the best stock, including Common, Mirror, Ghost, Grass, and Crucian Carp, as well as Roach, Rudd, Bream, Tench, and Perch. Even if you are not an angler it’s a beautiful spot to just sit and watch the wildlife, or, just relish the peace and tranquillity. Keen walkers or cyclists can set out direct from your lodge to explore the surroundings, venturing to the fringes of the magnificent Dartmoor National Park. Hatherleigh (5 miles) is where you can pick up the Tarka Trail to walk or cycle your way around Devon. Other attractions include RHS Rosemoor at Torrington (11 miles) and Tapeley Park and Gardens at Instow (21 miles).
