This modern beach chalet is located in a popular holiday village at Freshwater East. The large, golden, sandy beach is only a few hundred metres away – it’s a huge draw with both locals and visitors alike, and is backed by dunes that are a designated nature reserve. There's plenty of space to spread out, play beach games or indulge in water sports. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path is also easy to access from here, with miles of routes to explore while taking in the stunning views. Nearby Pembroke (4.5 miles) has a good selection of shops, bars, and cafes, plus its 12th-century castle is well worth a visit. For family days out, try Heatherton World of Activities or Manor Park Zoo (8 miles).

As you enter the chalet, you are welcomed into the light, airy, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge has an L-shaped sofa and a TV with a DVD player. The kitchen/diner is at the rear of the lounge and has been suitably equipped to prepare family meals during your stay, or pack up a picnic to go. The owners have also kindly left some board games and books for guests to enjoy. Head on up to the first floor and you will find two lovely bedrooms. The master suite has a double bed, built-in wardrobe space, and views out to the front of the chalet. The second bedroom is a bunk room with additional built-in storage. The charming family bathroom boasts a heated towel rail and is shared by both bedrooms.

There is an enclosed patio garden at the rear of the chalet with outdoor dining furniture to enjoy al fresco dining on those warm summer evenings.

A lovely property and extremely well located for the beach just 5 min walk away. The patio area really caught the sun and was a lovely suntrap to sit in for morning breakfast and to relax in later in the day. A very comfortable property which enhanced our short break.

The chalet is comfortable and well laid out. The bonus is the south-facing patio at the rear of the property which is fairly sheltered and which gets the sun from breakfast time and throughout the day at this time of year. I travel alone as a single, female, OAP and always feel completely safe in this holiday park and walking the coastal path (5 Read moremins away), the many dune paths behind the beach or on the beach (5 mins). There are no dogs on site which is also a bonus - although they are allowed on the beach. I did have an initial problem with the chalet not having been properly serviced before my arrival but this was quickly fixed by the very helpful Customer Service at Holiday Cottages.co.uk - even on a Sunday afternoon! The owner also contacted me to make sure everything was working well and had been sorted - which is always reassuring. All in all a lovely 2 week relaxing and refreshing stay here. Thank you. Hide

We had a lovely stay at Beach Life. Very spacious, plenty of cooking utensils and my eldest was grateful for the use of a body board! We did have an issue getting in, as the cleaning staff were still in the property and didn't finish until 4pm and they said that we were too early.

Wonderful chalet by the beach in a quiet location. All freshly done inside and spotlessly clean throughout. Brand new towels and kitchen items. Internet was fast, smart TV was great. Welcome pack of milk, Welsh cakes, tea, and coffee was brilliant. Car space is round corner from chalet. Very cosy and spacious rain or shine, and just a well thought Read moreout layout. Had plenty of space to relax and play, especially the large patio out back! Had everything you need for a family beach holiday. We had a great family holiday here - thank you. We can't wait to stay again! Hide

Fantastic location, not far from NT Stackpole estate and fantastic walks, Manorbier castle and Tenby. Freshwater East beach was v windy, but if you walk to the very far end there are some lovely sheltered sandy sections around low tide. Cottage was comfortable and well equipped, large smart TV, decent shower, quiet and clean. But I couldnt get the Read moreheater to work, it lacked oven gloves and a bath mat, and all the chests of drawers smelt musty inside so couldnt unpack clothes. Was still being cleaned when I arrived and I couldnt get in until after 4pm when it was supposed to be ready by 3pm. I would still consider staying here again though for the location. Hide
