  • Character property with a host of traditional features within easy reach of the North Norfolk coast
  • Part of an attractive complex of three properties, each with hot tub, and entertaining areas
Property code: OC-HR1653

These two delightful barn conversions, sit side by side making an ideal location for a group of friends or a large family staying together as well as providing separate living space when you need it.  Each barn has their own exclusive hot tub, and a large outdoor courtyard with comfortable seating and dining area. This small complex  ( a combination of 3 barns in total) is located on the outskirts of Roughton, where you’ll find a shop, pub, fish and chip shop, and fishing lake within 0.5 miles. There are more facilities at the popular seaside resorts of Cromer (4 miles) which is famous for its sandy beaches, traditional pier and freshly caught crab and seafood and Sheringham (7 miles), while Blakeney Point (17 miles) is renowned for its grey seal colony. The area is rich in heritage, including the National Trust properties of Felbrigg Hall (2 miles) and Blickling Hall (7 miles).

At the heart of these stylish properties, you’ll find an open-plan kitchen/dining area and lounge with traditional brick and flint walls and a rustic wooden beamed ceiling. Each stylish cottage offers space to relax with corner sofas arranged around a TV and DVD ¬– ideal for relaxing after a day’s exploring – and a wood burner for chilly evenings. The modern fitted kitchens have electric ovens and hob, microwave, and fridge/freezer so you can prepare meals at home and dine around the family table. Hawthorne Cottage is home to a master bedroom with a king-size bed and a twin bedroom, both with the same rustic character, and a shower room with WC.  Rainbow Cottage has two spacious bedrooms, a king-size room with patio doors leading into the garden and a twin bedroom and a family bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC.

In addition to the shared outdoor areas, both cottages have a private enclosed garden featuring a small lawn, patio with outdoor furniture and BBQ, and a 5-seater hot tub with 24 hydrotherapy jets and LED lighting (£55 per hot tub) so you can make the most of warm summer evenings. For children there is also a tree swing or compete with a family game of table tennis. For your canine companions there are two fields on site to enjoy a family walk.

Please request it on the booking form by ticking the relevant box (you will come to the booking form after clicking “Book My holiday” or “Book Now"). The £55 cost of the hot tub is not included in the price you see on the booking calendar on this page. The £55 is per booking and sadly can’t be reduced for shorter stays as much of the energy cost arises from initially having to heat up the water. Although the owners do their best, they cannot always guarantee the water will be fully heated up to 38 degrees for the first night of a booking.
  • Arrival: 16:00 onwards
  • Departure: before 10:00
  • 4 dogs allowed. Additional charges may apply
