A fabulous base for larger families to explore the west coast of Ireland, this high-quality holiday home includes an array of amenities and has been decorated with an eye for style. It’s located 2 miles from the vibrant town of Louisburgh, and 15 miles from Westport, a seaside town with plenty to do for everyone, from great restaurants to outdoor activities and water sports. For amazing views of the Mayo coastline and to catch a ferry to Clare Island, head to Roonagh Pier (3 miles).

This detached bungalow offers a combination of sleek furnishings and bright, cheerful rooms, with an open-plan living space. A large window in the lounge area allows light to pour in and gives distant mountain views, while the elegant kitchen/diner has plenty of cooking space to cater for everyone. To entertain younger members of the group (and maybe adults, too) there’s a Wii console, and a sofa bed is provided to accommodate an extra two guests if necessary (although the property is best suited to six people). The three bedrooms – a double, a single and a triple with a double bed and a single – offer chic simplicity in the form of wooden floors and pine beds. They share a family shower room.

Outside, the partially enclosed garden has some lawned areas and deckchairs, as well as a storage shed where you can safely keep outdoor equipment.

Lovely house in a great location. Loved Silver Strand and Old Head beaches. The cakes that were left for us all five loved and our 3year old grandson loved cycling around the house, it helped him to sleep all night long. Food in local pubs was fantastic. We will be back.
