Day trips include a ferry visit to the historic Bere Island, home to archaeological sites from the Bronze Age to the 15th century and a great place for shark, whale, and dolphin spotting. You could also catch Ireland’s only cable car to Dursey Island, a birdwatcher’s paradise.
