A spacious property in County Clare, this inviting retreat could be ideal for an extended family or several friends with something special to celebrate. Sleeping eight guests, it is 0.5 miles from the fishing village of Carrigaholt. Overlooking Loop Head Bay, where the River Shannon joins the sea and is famous for its bottlenose dolphins, this dramatic place sits right on the Wild Atlantic Way. From Carrigaholt, you can book dolphin and seal-watching trips or reserve a space on deep-sea fishing excursions. There is also a small beach here and you can see the 15th-century tower house of Carrigaholt Castle. The town of Kilrush, 15 miles away, is worth visiting for its shops, eateries and exquisite Vandeleur Walled Garden.

Make your way into this sizeable hideaway to find accommodation that is ideal for a large party. The well-proportioned lounge has an abundance of leather seating and sofas to ensure there is space for everyone to gather to play games or watch a film on the TV. The wood burner in here throws out plenty of warmth during the colder months. Sit through in the sun-filled conservatory, with its many windows, instead or gather around the table in the dining room. The substantial kitchen also has lots of room and everything you need to help you prepare hearty feasts for your group to sit down to in the dining room. There is also a handy utility room. The bedrooms at this property include three doubles, one with an en-suite bathroom, and a family room with two double beds. There is also a family bathroom.

The house sits in a partly enclosed garden, which features courtyard areas at both the front and back. There is plenty of space for dining outside and relaxing in the sunshine on summer days.

Delightful house, really spacious and well equipped, a pleasure to stay in. The cliffs and views on the drive around Loop Head peninsula are stunning and the trad session in Carrigaholt full of lovely, heart-warming tunes!
