Sleeping four guests across two cosy bedrooms, it’s an ideal getaway for families or friends seeking easy access to some of Ireland’s most beautiful landscapes. Pop on your hiking boots and wander the Ox Mountains, 1 mile away, or spend a leisurely day exploring the stunning trails and lakeside art installations at Lough Talt (7.5 miles). Fancy a day by the sea? The golden beaches of Strandhill, Enniscrone, and Rosses Point all lie within 30 miles. At the end of the day, traditional Irish music can be enjoyed close by at the local pubs in Tubbercurry (3 miles) and Charlestown (5 miles).


Inside, this tastefully renovated cottage feels warm and welcoming from the moment you step through the door. The cheerful open-plan living area invites you to sink into the sofa before whipping up a hearty meal in the brick-and-beamed kitchen, complete with a range-style cooker. Share family meals around the dining table while taking in pretty garden views, then unwind in front of your favourite TV shows as the evening settles in. When it’s time to sleep, you’ve got a lovely double bedroom (with the bed accessible from one side) and a practical twin room.
