This remote holiday home boasts an idyllic setting overlooking Cashel Bay in County Galway. Sleeping 12 guests across six bedrooms and welcoming two dogs, this is the perfect base for peaceful, relaxing family gatherings or get-togethers with friends. The picturesque coastal village of Roundstone is just 5 miles away. Here, you can take a stroll around the bustling harbour, watching the fishing boats coming and going, while admiring the distant mountain views. The village has a strong arts and crafts scene, and you can try your hand at pottery and jewellery making, and pick up a plethora of cute souvenirs from your trip. Just outside the village are two of Ireland’s most spectacular beaches, Dog’s Bay (9.5 miles) and Gurteen (9 miles), both of which boast white sand and crystal-clear waters for bathing. The area is also a haven for walkers, with a network of tracks and trails through Connemara National Park (20 miles) and the surrounding mountain ranges.
The detached holiday home is warm and inviting, with exposed woodwork, soft furnishings, and homely touches throughout. On the ground floor is a spacious kitchen/diner, which is the perfect spot for hosting dinner parties and special occasions. Rustle up delicious feasts in the kitchen area, which has all the amenities and space needed to cater for a large group, and gather in the dining area for memorable mealtimes together. The cottage has a cosy lounge with a TV/DVD, open fire, and seating for up to seven guests. Also on the ground floor, you’ll find a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, two twin bedrooms, and the well-appointed family bathroom. The first-floor bedrooms are set under the eaves, with sloping ceilings and skylights, and comprise three double bedrooms. One of the bedrooms has the added benefit of an en-suite shower room, and there’s also a separate shower room on this floor.
Outside, the shared garden offers the perfect space for littles ones and four-pawed friends to run freely, and also boasts a BBQ and outdoor furniture for al fresco meals in the warmer months.
