The cottage was very comfortable and cosy, we were 2 couples spending a week together so it was perfect to have a bedroom and a bathroom downstairs and 2 bedrooms and an en suite upstairs. Everything you needed was provided, Pat stopped in to see us when arrived and checked that we were happy with everything and showed us how yo use hot water, heatRead moreing etc. Though Pat lived within 30 yards, and there is also 3 other cottages, it was very private and non intrusive. There was more than adequate crockery for 6, a table and chairs for 6, as well as seating in the living room. The views are stunning and we loved the donkey who scared us with her braying the first time we walked past as she was hiding, she loved the attention! Just to be aware if you want to walk out anywhere the hill is very steep, though it didn't stop us from walking it once or twice daily and we found it easier to walk up after an evening at McBride's the friendly pub down in the village. The village, along with the pub has a great little coffee shop that serves breakfast and lunch, including vegetarian and gluten free, a local shop, a lovely beach walk, as well as a riverside walk. Only thing that would be the icing on the cake a dishwasher in the property, though we knew ahead of time there wasn't one. We would 100% recommend a stay here. Hide
