Ideal for families and groups of friends looking to explore the west coast of Ireland and beyond, this detached property sits in a rural location yet is just 450 metres from the beach. Spend your days moseying around the enchanting village of Ballyvaughan (1.25 miles), with its dramatic backdrop and a whole host of walking, cycling and rock climbing spots. Sample freshly caught seafood here, or pop into the pub for non-stop cosy conversation and a pint of Guinness. For natural beauty, we recommend visiting the Burren National Park and embarking on one of their seven waymarked walking routes leading you over limestone hills dotted with rare flora and fauna. Alternatively, visit the nearby attractions of Aliwee Burren Experience (3 miles), onshore fishing around Fanore (9 miles), or stop by the coastline of Doolin (15 miles).

Step into this rural paradise, and you will immediately be greeted with a living room boasting cosy furniture, an open fire and outstanding views – this is a wonderful space to relax and unwind. The kitchen is well-equipped, providing the chef with everything you will need to prepare a filling meal, with a fridge, microwave, electric hob and a dishwasher. The dining space sits adjacent to the kitchen and is a great place to gather for breakfast, lunch or an evening meal, with the bonus of French doors leading into the garden. Completing the ground floor is one of the twin bedrooms and a family bathroom. The stairs lead up to two more peaceful bedrooms: a twin room and a double room with its own en-suite shower room.

The garden at this property is a highlight of the home, offering incredible views across the water and greenery and a partially enclosed space for you to keep an eye on your frolicking pup. There is garden furniture too for those morning coffees in the sunshine.

We found that the cottage was very comfortable, well equipped and clean. The cottage fittings and equipment were as described in the information when we made the booking. The owner was very friendly and helpful and called round to make sure that everything was satisfactory.
