In an elevated position with gorgeous vistas, this is one of two houses on the site, and is a wonderful location for a holiday with family or friends just 1 mile from the seaside village of Rathmullan. Set on the Wild Atlantic Way, the popular village boasts a long stretch of sandy beach backed by woodland and with a nearby children’s playground. It has a variety of pubs, takeaways, cafes and restaurants, and from here you can also sail, surf or charter a boat for a sightseeing cruise or some deep-sea angling. For a day out, Tropical World and Ballymacool Park are both within 17 miles.
The detached bungalow is reached via a steep slope and a shared driveway, and there are two steps up to the front door. Inside, the gracious lounge is full of light and has warm colours, a wood floor and an open fire – the perfect place to spend a cosy evening on a chilly night or simply to relax after a day on the beach. In the lounge/diner you’ll have plenty of space to prepare hearty breakfasts and tasty suppers, lingering at the table afterwards while you make plans for your next day’s adventures. The four bedrooms are all welcoming and pretty; two doubles, one of which has an en-suite shower room, and two singles. A family bathroom completes the interior.
Just outside the front door there’s a veranda where you can sit and enjoy a morning cup of coffee or an evening drink while under cover, and there’s also a large, enclosed outside area, mainly gravelled, with a picnic bench for you to enjoy some al fresco entertainment.
