Sit back and admire one of Ireland’s finest views from this impressive house, a wonderful destination for families or friends in a private and tranquil location. Set 16 miles from Bantry town, it’s just 2 miles from the small village of Kilcrohane, which has a pub, shop and cafe, and which sits below Seefin, the area’s tallest hill. Walk the Goat’s Path for amazing views of Bantry Bay, spotting the impressive Sheep’s Head lighthouse in the distance and admiring the rich flora of the surrounding countryside. This peaceful area is off the beaten track and boasts gorgeous beaches as well as historic monuments, picturesque loughs, and spectacular scenery in every direction.
The property is set mostly on one level, but has a dramatic, split-level lounge/diner with a huge window overlooking the gorgeous surroundings. The lounge area boasts a high, pitched ceiling with a chandelier, an open fire and lots of books and artwork, creating a grand yet homely atmosphere. In the kitchen you’ll find an array of cupboards and plenty of equipment with which to conjure up delicious meals. The three bedrooms comprise a twin (which can be converted to a super-king-size) with an en-suite shower room, a double and a single. There’s also a folding bed to accommodate a sixth guest. Completing the interior is a family shower room for all to stay refreshed after a day spent outdoors.
Outside, extensive and enclosed grounds include sloping lawns, steps and mature trees and shrubs, creating a magical setting for your one-of-a-kind holiday. A really special area is the balcony with its comfortable furnishings from which you can take in the glorious scenery as you enjoy a morning coffee or an aperitif.
