This traditional, detached farmhouse boasts spacious rooms and a welcoming atmosphere, making it feel like a home from home, whether you’re a multi-generational family or a group of friends celebrating a special occasion with the dog in tow. It sits on the Atlantic coast just 3 miles from the charming coastal town of Rossnowlagh, where there’s an artisan bakery, a barista coffee trailer, a pub, and a hotel with a choice of bars and fine dining. The vast, sandy beach here is a huge draw, known for its excellent surfing waves but also a place where you can try paddle boarding, kite surfing and horse trekking. The vibrant town of Donegal is just 10 miles away, a great choice for a day trip with its shops, eateries, castle, abbey ruins, railway heritage centre and boat trips.

Set over two storeys, this pretty house has a choice of two places in which to sit and relax – the lovely lounge, with its wood burner set into a stone fireplace, or the cosy snug, where there’s an open fire. Both rooms have TVs and comfortable seating. The kitchen/diner has everything you’ll need to conjure up delicious holiday food, ready to enjoy around the farmhouse-style dining table. On the ground floor you’ll also find a shower room, while on the first floor there are four double bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite shower room, plus a family bathroom for all to make use of.

Outside, the large patio is fully enclosed by a stone wall and surrounded by trees. It makes a great spot for morning cup of coffee or an evening of grilling on the BBQ as the sun goes down.

The house was clean and the beds very comfortable but the sitting rooms weren't cozy nor warm enough. Still the surroundings are lovely and it is close to Donegal. Thank you for a taste or Ireland!
