Located just 7 miles outside the town of Louisburgh, it’s a great choice for an active, family-friendly seaside break. Spend a happy day strolling by the pretty 18th-century buildings of Louisburgh and stop off to savour some fresh seafood in the harbour. If you’re feeling active, Louisburgh is also a great spot for stand-up paddleboarding, snorkelling and kayaking. Birdwatchers will adore a few peaceful hours in the nature reserve at Old Head (8 miles) while hikers will love the challenging climb at Croagh Patrick (13 miles).
Make yourselves at home in this stunning cottage featuring high ceilings and large picture windows which allow the light to flood in and provide the most amazing views of Clew Bay. The entrance leads into a spacious open-plan living space where the flickering wood burner is the centrepiece – it’s a great social space with a large L-shaped sofa. There’s also a second lounge, complete with sofa bed, that’s great for if the kids want a little space of their own. When it’s time to eat, head to the open-plan kitchen and dining area, where you will find everything you need to cook up a storm for your loved ones. At the end of the day, there are three fantastic bedrooms waiting for you, two doubles on the ground floor, one with en-suite and walk-in wardrobe, and one double on the first floor, also with its own en-suite shower room. There’s also a separate bathroom on the ground floor.
Outside you’ll find a fully enclosed garden with a patio area and BBQ for al fresco dining as well as those wonderful views.
