A lovely cottage sitting in a serene and tranquil area just outside the charming village of Aughrim. Sleeping six people, this is an ideal retreat for a family or a group of friends looking for a relaxing escape in the Wicklow countryside. Kick off your day with a round or two at Macreddin Golf Club (4 miles), which was designed by Irish Ryder Cup hero Paul McGinley. Later in the day head to the landmark Mottee Stone (11 miles) for a walk – it’s said that the five counties surrounding Wicklow can be viewed from there on a clear day, while in very good weather the mountains of Wales can be spotted across the Irish Sea. Or head into the pretty village of Avoca (11.5 miles), which served as the filming location for the beloved BBC series, Ballykissangel.
This charming cottage originally served as the area’s local grocery store, but it has been lovingly- converted into a bright and spacious bungalow boasting inviting spaces that are simply perfect for spending quality time with your loved ones. A splendid open fire gives the lounge area a cosy warmth, making you feel immediately at home. The kitchen/diner is equipped with everything to cater to your needs and there's plenty of space to get the whole gang together for sociable dinners. At the end of the day, there are three spacious double bedrooms waiting for you. This cottage is also a good option for those who may be less able as it is wheelchair friendly and has a bathroom with a level entry shower, shower chair and a portable disabled toilet seat.
Outside you’ll find a fully enclosed garden with a patio area and garden furniture for al fresco dining. There’s also a playground nearby that the kids will love.
