A charming, detached cottage in an elevated position overlooking Glenbeg Beach, this generous retreat is ideal for a large family or group of friends. Sleeping eight guests, the four-bedroom hideaway is situated 1 mile from Caherdaniel and 10 miles from Waterville. It is just a 160-metre stroll from the beautiful white sands of Glenbeg, also known as O’Carroll’s Cove, and is 3.5 miles from the famous Derrynane Beach, which is popular for surfing, sailing, and kayaking, as well as swimming. The beach is part of the Derrynane National Historic Park. Sitting right on the scenic Ring of Kerry route, this group hideaway features an attractive garden and an open fire, making it a great choice at any time of year.
Make your way inside to find traditional features, such as exposed beams and brickwork, alongside contemporary touches and plenty of comfort. The lounge, with its open fire, has a sumptuous leather sofa to sink into as you watch TV or read your books. The kitchen/diner also has soft seating, as well as a table and chairs for mealtimes. You will also find everything you require to help you rustle up tasty meals with the local produce you have sourced. A conservatory, with another table and fabulous views, is downstairs, together with a utility room, a WC, and a double bedroom. Head upstairs to find three more double bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite shower room. There is also a family bathroom up here.
Enjoy the garden, which is partly enclosed, on summer days. Serve breakfast, lunch and dinner out on the patio when the weather is fine and take in the impressive beach views.
