This lovely, modern house is an ideal place for a coastal getaway. Cadgwith is a quaint and secluded fishing village nestled on the Lizard Peninsula – a place seemingly untouched by the fast-paced advancements of the modern world. Here fishermen continue the timeless tradition of pushing their boats down the beach, setting out to catch fresh fish and shellfish on an almost daily basis. The village exudes an idyllic charm, offering a captivating glimpse into a bygone age. Colourful thatched cottages dot the landscape haphazardly scattered across the valley. The village pub remains the social centre, where folk music and traditional Cornish singing can be enjoyed regularly. A short distance away is a treasure trove of stunning beaches. Kynance Cove, a mere 4.5 miles away, boasts captivating beauty, while Kennack Sands (2.5 miles) offers a serene coastal experience. Close too is the Helford area with pretty villages and coves to explore.

Explore this charming house from the parking area, where you can either descend a few steps to reach the front door or stroll across the lawn for step-free access. Upon entering, you’ll find yourself in the spacious and bright open-plan living area, featuring a contemporary style and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. This delightful room is thoughtfully arranged into distinct zones, featuring snug sofas and a plush leather armchair gathered around the focal point of a wood-burning stove. This area serves as the perfect retreat for relaxation where you can enjoy your favourite shows on the Smart TV with Netflix included. Entertainment options extend to board games and books, providing a variety of choices. The exposed roof timbers, underfloor heating and range of lighting options collectively contribute to the creation of a truly enchanting room. Continuing through to the modern, fitted kitchen, you’ll discover a fully equipped space with all the comforts of home. A sizeable dining table and chairs beckon for social mealtimes together. A door, with just a single step down, leads out to the terrace. On this level, you’ll also find a pretty en-suite bedroom, complete with a king-size bed with Emma mattress and a full bathroom equipped with a luxurious rainfall shower. Open the bedroom doors to the terrace and relish in the invigorating sea air. For those preferring a stair-free experience, the main bedroom and en-suite bathroom are conveniently situated on the ground floor. Descend the stairs, enhanced by built-in feature lighting, to the lower ground floor. Here, a twin bedroom, designed with a nod to the nautical location, awaits with beds that can be linked to form a superking if required. Additionally, there's a bunk room, suitable for children only and the main bathroom, offering convenience and comfort. A utility room, equipped with a washer/dryer and sink, leads out to the lower paved patio, completing the thoughtful layout of this delightful coastal retreat.

Enclosed and well-designed, the outdoor spaces provide a secure environment. A charming, paved terrace seamlessly extends from the kitchen, offering an inviting setting for delightful al fresco dining. Some shrubs and plants add a touch of natural beauty to the surroundings. Accessed via a set of steps from the upper terrace, but also directly from the utility room, a lower paved area features a wooden bench and simple planting, offering an alternative spot to relax.

A spotlessly clean, well equipped house. The heat pump, is quiet and makes the house lovely and warm with lots of hot water. We parked in the car park as found the drive difficult to access but it is just a few steps away. 15 for the week.

Although wed been to Cornwall many times before, this was the first time in winter. The cottage is kept warm by underfloor heating and we were surprised that we didnt need to use the wood burner. Everything was clean and comfortable. Had to search for a frying pan (found the drawer under the oven!). Lovely quiet location. Our estate car tended to bRead moreottom out on the ridge of the driveway when backing out onto the lane, but not a big issue. Many places were found to be closed for winter. We would recommend this property to anyone wanting a quiet getaway. Hide

Our stay at Cadgwith was absolutely lovely - with the cottage providing a real home from home. This holiday provided the perfect restful break that we all needed; we loved exploring the local area (taking walking trails from the door some days and driving slightly further afield on others to places of interest such as Kynance Cove and St Michael's Read moreMount) and in the afternoons/evenings we would cosy up in the comfortable well-equipped property, sometimes with the wood burner going, and enjoy some games or the television. All the equipment you could possibly need is at hand in the cottage, with cosy and decorative touches adding real character to the place. The well-situated cottage meant that we were able to enjoy a few delicious meals out in the homely Cadgwith Cove Inn, and took advantage of the fresh catches at the fish shop to cook up some delicious hake one evening. The cream tea at the The nearby Cellars is also highly recommended, as is the perusal of the many wonderful arts and crafts for sale in the small studio above the fish shop; what a gem of a little village! We were genuinely very sad to leave the property at the end of the week, but happy to have left so refreshed and with such lovely memories. Thank you for for the wonderful stay in this perfect home! Pictures of the house were very accurate and all expectations on comfort and equipment were met. The cottage is very nice, clean and well equipped. Location is great for the more traditional Cornwall, in a relaxing position. Great for swimming and paddle boarding at the beach just a short walk away. With coastal walks nearby and places to visit too include: Coverack, Kynance Cove and The Lizard.

We loved staying here! A really lovely decorated and modern cottage which was well equipped with everything you might need. It was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. We arrived with our dog and it was great to have the green bit at the front for his late night wee and we loved the short walk down the road to the cove and then back up the fooRead moretpath past the church in the morning. We had a tawny owl visit us most nights and we stood outside watching the stars and listening to the owls, it was wonderful. The cottage isn't particularly overlooked and we felt at home immediately. The beds were comfortable - it was quite warm whilst we were there so sadly didn't get to use the wood burner. We hope to be back. Hide
