The cottage is in a good location being so close to Snape Maltings. I know previous reviews had mentioned traffic noise could be an issue, I was not expecting to be woken up at 0430 each morning by tractors thundering through the village. Not something the owners can change, but something to certainly be aware of, returned with a sleep deficiencyRead more. The cottage itself is very small and fine for a few days, it would be difficult for anything longer, as there is no freezer and the fridge itself is small. Thankfully we were out most of the day and the weather was great. Hide

We loved the cottage and would happily return. It ticket a lot of important boxes e.g. a comfortable bed, a good shower, bathroom facilities and upstairs toilet. The back garden is a pleasant space/sun trap for sitting out too, and being situated overlooking the village green makes a pleasant view and provides good separation from the road. The whoRead morele cottage has a pleasant spacious feel. We enjoyed the local walks through lovely Suffolk countryside, and the river Alde and reed banks at Snape Maltings. The coast and Minsmere are pleasant distances to travel to from the cottage. Hide

This is a great cozy little cottage and in a lovely location. Walking distance to Snape Maltings (well worth a visit or two) and a number of walks around the Marshes. Within reasonable driving distance to the amazing Suffolk coast. Everything you need is there to either explore or just hunker down by the Log fire. We did arrive late on a Sunday aRead morend were disappointed (as a previous reviewer has said) with no welcome pack or at least some milk to get us started. Previous owners supplied Bread, milk, nibbles and a bottle of wine! But still a good cottage to remove some winter blues. Hide

Very cosy with a nice log burner. Stairs a bit steep and narrow which may be an issue for some people. Overall a nice place and conveniently situated to get to most local beaches.

Charming, small cottage ideal for 2 adults. Very clean, cosy and well appointed. The location is brilliant for beautiful local walks along the River Alde through pretty oak woods and across marshes. Lots of coastal birds to spot. 3 good food pubs with the furthest being 8 min walk away at Snape Maltings. We would like to return.

Having stayed in the cottage twice before, we were not disappointed. It is ideally situated for country/coast lovers, birdwatchers and those seeking a quiet, relaxing break, like ourselves. The accommodation itself is clean, cosy and well suited to an escape for two adults.

The broadband didn't work at all during our stay. There were no bath towels out when we arrived. The management company didn't know there were some which were hidden away in a cupboard which we eventually found under some duvets. The tree in the front garden was overgrowing the front window and the seat in the front garden. The neighbour trimmed itRead more so we could sit on the seat. Despite booking for a week and there being no shop in the village there was very little in the way of basics provided for when we arrived. A small carton of milk would be nice at least. We stayed in a place for one night after this and they provided a comprehensive welcome pack. Hide
