Beautiful cottage with a lovely homely feel. Well equipped with everything you need. Situated in a gorgeous location where everyone is so friendly. Visited both pubs and would highly recommend both. Communication from owners was excellent. Myself and my partner look forward to staying again.

We really loved this cottage and did not want to leave. We slept really well. It was warm and cosy. It had everything you needed and was in a central location to explore the surrounding Dales. It was lovely and clean, the kitchen was great to work in. We had a great week and highly recommend it.

Very cosy cottage in a beautiful rural area, the walk up to the moor starts just behind the cottage. There are no shops in the village and the two pubs are open intermittently so bring food if you havent got a car. There is a bus stop opposite and lots of attractions nearby, including Haddon Hall, Chatsworth, and Peak Railway.

We had a really lovely stay at Lion Cottage. The cottage is beautiful - well equipped and a real home from home. We were very comfortable there and enjoyed our time walking in the local area. Cleanliness was 'good' rather than 'very good' due to some of the dishes needing to be washed before use (pans and oven trays) and the wheelie bin was overRead moreflowing! However these were minor problems and we would definitely come back if returning to the area. Thanks for a lovely stay Hide

The cottage was beautiful. It was everything we expected and more. Hosts made us feel really welcome. The attention to detail was excellent, they had thought of everything you need. It would certainly be a place we would recommend and also revisit.
