This property is situated in the wonderful old fishing village of Hope Cove, which boasts two beaches, both of which are within walking distance of the property. Some visitors may be content to spend their holiday in and around the village, but others may wish to make the most of all that the surrounding area has to offer, including the historic city of Plymouth and the resort towns of the English Riviera. Closer still, the town of Salcombe is just five miles away and offers a huge range of activities, including kayak and dinghy hire, a powerboat school, a gin distillery, and a range of shops and eateries.

This single-storey property has been lovingly styled and offers a wonderful place for a family getaway. On entering the property, guests will find the light-filled lounge diner, with its open fire, TV/DVD, comfortable seating and dining table seating six which enjoys a lovely bright position next to the patio doors, overlooking the garden. The kitchen is just next door and offers an electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. Three steps down from the lounge lead to the bright and sunny conservatory, where there is plenty of seating from which to enjoy the views over the garden. One of the bedrooms is accessed via the conservatory, which also offers a TV and down three steps, a pretty double room with en-suite shower and WC. The other two bedrooms are a king-size room and a double. There is a bathroom with shower over bath and WC.

Outside is a lovely enclosed garden, which is mainly set to lawn, with a patio area close to the house where guests will find a table and chairs, sun loungers and a BBQ. There is off-road parking provided for two cars.

Lovely time spent in Hope Cove. Great views from the garden. Nice walk to the Cove. 2 spacious lounges. A good size garden. 2 bedrooms I would say not really doubles as limited space.

The bungalow is in a lovely quiet location, beautiful countryside and sea views with the benefit of off-street parking. Nice walk down into the cove where there is a good selection of places to eat and drink. Car park in the cove is not cheap so if you can walk down and back it will save some money. Property could do with a little updating in plaRead moreces, but it is comfortable, spacious and reasonably well equipped. Hide

The cottage overall is wonderful. Fabulous location and very well equipped with the added extras in the kitchen etc that make a stay even easier and enjoyable. The garden and space inside is a real benefit and our children loved it. A few things would benefit from being easily fixed but overall a great stay.

Enjoyed our 2 week stay at Melrose. A good base for our holiday & only 7-8 mins walk down to Hope Cove itself. Ideal spot for walking with plenty of options either along the coast or inland. The property was a nice place to relax, either outside in the garden or on the decking on a sunny day, or inside when the weather wasn't so good. No complaintsRead more at all. Hide
