A gorgeous holiday cottage, one of the best we have stayed in terms of cleanliness and equipment provided. Maze Hill Cottage is a really lovely property in a quiet side street in Appledore. The decor is clean and modern but still characterful, and there's plenty of space for a family of three or four or maybe even five. The beds are really comfy, there's plenty of hot water, and the kitchen is well equipped. It might be worth noting that the courtyard gRead morearden isn't that user friendly. Understandably the owner doesn't want dogs to 'go' in it - I don't blame her at all on that front! But it also has two neighbours' bathroom windows opening onto it, so we'd have felt like we were invading their space had we chosen to sit outside. Hide

Really lovely cottage in a fabulous location. Right in amongst the tiny cobbled streets and in easy reach of pubs and eating places. We hadn't realised the Appledore Book Festival was on the week we were there so street parking was at a premium. I found out too late that parking in the public car park was only 30 for the week which I should have Read moretaken advantage of. Really friendly place particularly loved the Champ pub which I can highly recommend. All in all a lovely relaxing week would definitely recommend. I've never slept in such a comfy bed Hide
