This beautiful rural retreat is nestled in the Culm Valley and offers a luxury home-from-home which is perfect for a memorable break to Devon. This special property, with its own covered swimming pool, sauna, and hot tub, provides a comfortable backdrop to the rolling hills of the Devon countryside with its many walking trails and natural landmarks to discover. If you love a pub walk, the village of Hemyock (1 mile) is home to a welcoming village pub; it also has a shop that offers local produce. Release your competitive spirit at Mansell Raceway (3 miles), or if you prefer to watch, catch one of the wild stock car race meets at Smeatharpe Stadium, 5.5 miles away. Search high in the sky for aircraft at Dunkeswell Airfield and watch the goings on from the Aviator Cafe. Slightly further afield is the cathedral city of Exeter (23 miles) – the perfect destination for a shopping trip or some culture and history at the RAMM (Royal Albert Memorial Museum), the City Walls Walk, or an excursion below at the Underground Passages. Action-packed days out are available at Haldon Forest (26 miles), including Go Ape, Segway, Clip ’n Climb or paddleboarding the Exe Estuary.

Sleeping 13 guests across five bedrooms, this attractive luxury house enjoys fantastic views of the Blackdown Hills AONB. Take in the country air and relish the peace and quiet of Devon country life with your loved ones here. On arrival, you will encounter the spacious lounge with ample comfortable seating to relax. Socialise or enjoy your favourite movies on the Smart TV. Across the hallway is a stylish, large kitchen that comes fully equipped with a walk-in larder and lots of worktop space for food preparation. A few feet away is the large dining room with seating for each guest, with views across the garden. Just across from the dining room is a gorgeous sunroom with a curved aspect to give 240-degree views of the garden and the countryside beyond. Inside the sunroom is another Smart TV, lots of seating and access to a terrace. Next door to the kitchen is a handy utility room that contains laundry facilities and access to the outside. Also, on the ground floor is a WC. Ascend to the first floor via the thoroughly contemporary stainless steel and glass staircase that leads to a gallery landing. The gallery leads off to the bedrooms; first of all, you will find a king-size bedroom (which also offers an extra single bed, a full-size cot, a dressing room, and an en-suite shower room with WC. Next along the hallway is a restful twin bedroom, followed by a family bathroom. At the end of the hall is a bedroom with a king-size and a single bed inside. The final bedroom is a double; each of the bedrooms enjoys the elevated views of this rural part of Devon. Across the front courtyard, just opposite the house, is the Annexe Suite, comprised of a games room, a king-size bedroom, a single bed, and an en-suite shower room with WC. The games room contains a pool table, comfy seating for spectators, and a big Smart TV for lots of competitive fun with your fellow guests.

Step outside onto the wraparound terrace that reaches the rear and opposing aspects of the house. There is lots of space for BBQs and morning coffee, and ample garden furniture and loungers. Off to the left of the house is an alluring BBQ lodge that can be used all year round and is the perfect place to gather and toast marshmallows. The star of the property is perhaps the covered heated swimming pool. The pool area has its own changing room and wet room. Elsewhere in the garden, there is a table tennis table, a fantastic barrel sauna, and a luxurious hot tub where you can watch the starry sky and enjoy a glass of bubbly with your loved ones.
