This characterful Victorian cottage is situated approximately 700m from the main high street in the traditional market town of Holt. The high street is adorned with independent shops and boutiques selling all sorts of treasures. There is also an eclectic mix of museums and galleries, as well as antique rooms for you to pick a keepsake for your trip. Holt is well known for its independent cafes, making for a perfect breakfast adventure for warm croissants and great coffee. Just 1 mile from the cottage is Holt Country Park with its woodland trails for a wonderful walk. The Holt North Norfolk Railway station (800m) is where you will find your steam train voyage to Sheringham, taking in the views of the North Norfolk countryside and a beach adventure at the destination. There are some other great beaches nearby, including Weybourne (4 miles), Salthouse (4 miles) and Cromer (9 miles).

Upon entering the hallway with a traditional high-ceiling hallway, you are greeted with a cosy lounge to your left with comfortable seating, a wood burning stove for those cooler evenings, and a Smart TV to put your feet up and enjoy after a day of boutique shopping. To the right of the hallway, there is the open-plan kitchen/diner, fully equipped for cooking up a storm, complete with a breakfast bar for the early risers. There is also another warming wood burner and a dining table to seat all guests to enjoy a home-cooked meal, or takeaway fish and chips together. Also downstairs, there is a convenient double bedroom with an ensuite and patio doors giving access to the garden at the rear. This spacious ground floor bedroom even boasts room for its own seating area, an idyllic spot to grab a drink and enjoy the sights and sounds of the garden, whatever the weather. Following the Victorian staircase upwards, guests have access to one bedroom with a king-size bed, as well as the well-presented family bathroom.

To the rear of the cottage, there is an enclosed landscaped lawn garden with a patio area for alfresco dining or enjoying your coffee on those long-awaited summer mornings.

Apart from the loss of tv signal in the evenings we loved Malbec Villa. The home is very comfortable and attractive (pottery and pictures especially) and the garden lovely. Location is great, both for the town and the best of North Norfolk and the road is quiet in the evening. The secondary glazing is very effective. Nice kitchen for cooking inRead more too. Hide

Clean and central for main attractions, lacks the comfy feeling needed after a long day out. Maybe in summer the garden would make up for that, or perhaps the log burners in main rooms on gloomy days. Unfortunately these were not available to us as it wasnt log season yet!
