Property code: OC-B27978

Situated towards the River Alde end of Aldeburgh, this luxury property is perfectly placed to enjoy all this seaside gem has to offer. The bustling high street with its array of independent shops, galleries, eateries and pubs is just 300 metres away, whilst the shores of pebble beach are only 100 metres from the house. There are plenty of wonderful walks directly from the doorstep, but two are our particular favourites. One heads towards the boat yard with a wander along the river wall, whilst the other heads along the sea front towards the charming village of Thorpeness, passing the famous Scallop sculpture and stopping at the village’s delicious pub for a spot of lunch and a well-earned drink. Aldeburgh does boast everything you could need during your stay, however there are some lovely places to explore nearby, including Snape Maltings (6.5 miles), Orford (11.3 miles) and Walberswick (15.2 miles).

This gorgeous coastal getaway has been beautifully designed and furnished to create an interior design haven. A natural and calming colour palette has been used throughout the property, with pops of bright colour and pretty patterns in the soft furnishings and artwork. Two reception rooms on the ground floor offer the ideal social spaces to bring all of your favourite people together. The snug has a comfy sofa situated in the bay window and is the perfect spot to curl up and read a book. The adjoining living space has two sumptuous sofas and a pair of armchairs, alongside a 50” inch smart television with access to streaming services, and warming gas fireplace. From here, the room opens into the dining area which has a full-length table with seating for everyone, making it the ideal place to all come together. Two sets of French doors allow light to fill the room, and both lead out to the glorious garden which has an abundance of roses in the Summer. The contemporary farmhouse style kitchen is a chef’s paradise, with a Bertazzoni gas range cooker, two integrated dishwashers, a pantry with plenty of storage and a large American style fridge freezer, as well as ample counter surface to prepare delicious feasts. There is also a smaller dining table with seating for four in the kitchen and makes for a great coffee perch in the mornings. This stunning home boasts accommodation for up to eight guests across four bedrooms, with each room being exquisitely designed to create a tranquil setting to rest and recharge during your stay. Luxurious beds sit effortlessly alongside gorgeous textiles and furnishings in complimentary colour schemes and with every room offering your very own en-suite bathroom. A cosy study with desk and sofa is a handy space for those needing to work whilst away, or is simply a nice place to come and relax. Sash cord windows allow plenty of natural light in across this floor and have views of either the garden, estuary, boatyard or sea. Head upstairs again and you are welcomed into our favourite part of the house. A hidden gem that is the perfect escape with its inviting interiors, sleek and stylish sofas, a games table and simply spectacular views from the bifold doors and balcony across the Aldeburgh estuary.

The outside space of this home is a lovely place to enjoy the sunshine throughout the day. Sunrise at the front of the house offers a great spot for your morning cup of tea, whilst the rear of the property is the ideal setting for sunset drinks. The pretty rose garden fills the air with a sublime scent during the summer and is perfect for enjoying lazy lunches or simple suppers al fresco.

We thought the property was in and ideal location in Auldeburge. It was very well equipped and very comfortable. With eight people staying it was very easy to spread out throughout the house. The garden is very secure for dogs and plenty of chairs to relax on. There was plenty of parking on the property. Byford House was probably one of the beRead morest properties we have stayed in. The house itself is big, well equipped and very comfortable. What a find. We are 4 couples who do a weekend away every year. This is by far the best house we have stayed in , as it met all our needs. The location was perfect, with a short walk to the centre. Aldeburgh is a delightful seaside town with lots of character and a lovely walk along the seafront .

A beautifully equipped house in a perfect location, great views. It has a fabulous addition at the top of the house, an extra spacious lounge looking across the wild area behind, with an excellent football table and huge TV. Highly recommended for a gathering as every bedroom has its own bathroom.

A very large and comfortable property. Very well equipped with all you need and more. A really great location for local independent shops and a great variety of restaurants including a couple of great "fish &chip" shops. A really good base to explore the surrounding area.
