Nestled in the heart of the national park, Starbotton is a hidden gem that beckons travellers seeking an authentic countryside experience. This charming village offers a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of city life with a delightful local inn just a stones' throw away (30 yards). The surrounding landscape is a playground for outdoor enthusiasts, boasting opportunities for hiking, cycling, and fishing along the crystal-clear River Wharfe. For avid walkers, the iconic Dales Way footpath meanders through the village. Nearby, the picturesque town of Grassington (9 miles) offers quaint shops, tearooms, and the annual Grassington Festival for a taste of local culture. Here, you'll find everything you need to whip up delicious meals, from modern appliances to ample counter space. Descend three steps and you'll find a convenient cloakroom, ideal for hanging coats and storing boots after your outdoor adventures. There's also a handy WC for added convenience. Moving back into the lounge and along the corridor, discover two inviting bedrooms. The first is a king-size, tastefully decorated and designed for restful nights. The second bedroom features twin beds, making it perfect for families or friends traveling together. Completing the interior is a well-appointed family bathroom where you can indulge in a relaxing bath or a refreshing shower.

Lovely cosy spotlessly clean and decorated tastefully. Everything we needed, great location between Kettlewell & Buckden, places we know well and like to walk around. Love Grassington too.

Had another really comfortable and enjoyable week here. Perfect for us and our dog. Really appreciated the dog towels and the welcome pack. Weather wasnt the best but it was February and we were warm and cosy indoors. Garden was secure for our large dog. Starbotton is a perfect place to get away from it all, good walking and an excellent pub just aRead moreround the corner. We would certainly come to the old chapel again. Hide

Very comfortable cottage. Comfy bed too. Good to be able to walk from the cottage and walk to an excellent pub serving excellent food.I had been a little concerned about noise from traffic at night as the Old Chapel is right by the road, but this was never a problem.

The cottage will sleep four people but is a nice size for two (plus the dog). The outside wash area for a dirty dog is really useful especially if the weather is wet. Some great walks on your doorstep. Good secure garden and parking.
