Yeomans cottage is an absolute gem. The bedroom is stunning, with high ceilings, 2 big windows, super comfy bed, simply and romantically decorated, a really restful space. The bathroom is modern and old all in the right places, and the little old window looking out onto the garden is fab. The cottage garden is a real haven. We were there in the firRead morest real heatwave of June 2026 and the shade amongst the planting meant we had a perfect retreat from the relentless sun. The kitchen is very well equipped. I particularly appreciated the range cooker, though didn't get to really put it through its paces, but I now have stove envy. Having a washing machine was wonderful, especially as we had packed light as we were on motorbikes, so it was great to be able to put a wash on, there were even 3 wash capsules provided. The lounge feels cozy, but plenty large enough for the dining area too, and in the winter I expect it is lovely with the wood burner on. The hosts had provided a lovely welcome basket, which included a bottle of wine, and some honesty seeds from the garden to take home, what a lovely memento. There was tea, instant coffee and coffee pods for the Bosch coffee machine, along with sugar, salt and pepper. There were also plenty of cleaning products. there are a few books, cards, dominos and scrabble. Wymondham has a lot of history, and is worth a day or two exploring if you have time. We had a delicious curry at The Shapla Tandoori. Norwich is a 10 minute train ride away, and the Cathedral is not to be missed. We spent a day at Sea Palling on the north coast, which was brilliant because the artificial reefs mean that the sea only goes out about 200m max, so we were able to relax on the sandy beach, and keep cool without worrying about tide times. We actually booked the holiday around a bike track day at Snetterton, which is only 15 minutes away. There is safe, off road parking for one car (or 2/3 bikes) behind the cottage. Hide

My wife and I stayed two nights. Beautiful old cottage in the heart of Wymondham with a convenient parking space out back. Well equipped with a very comfortable bed and high quality bedding and towels. Although both in our 60s we both managed the tight Norfolk winding staircase!

An excellent central location in Wymondham. The cottage is cozy and well maintained with all conveniences. We stayed over Christmas and the owners even decorated the cottage and laid on a few small presents for my young son. It made for an excellent break over Christmas.

I have enjoyed a wonderful week at Yeomans Cottage with my young family. The cottage was spotlessly clean and well maintained, and came with everything we needed, including a lovely welcome pack. It felt homely and was very charming in character. As raised by another reviewer, the stairs are certainly steep, but we managed with a 4 and 2 year old tRead morehanks to the provision of a stair gate by the owner (and the children loved their novelty factor!). The cottage is well located in the town and the provision of a car parking space is very helpful. The garden is one of its strongest features and reflects how cared for the property is as a whole. We used the cottage as a base to explore Norfolks wonderful seaside towns and various kid friendly activities, being perfectly located outside Norwich and quite central. The steam train from Wymondham was a particular hit. I would certainly recommend Yeomans Cottage as a great place to stay! Hide

A comfortable, well equipped cottage in a pleasing location. It is very old and rather dark inside but this is not a problem and the cottage is full of character. The highlight for us was the very beautiful and beautifully planted small garden. It has over 30 different species of plants and grasses, a dozen shrubs and a lovely, mature Medlar tree Read morein the middle, a very special place to sit underneath and relax. Hide

We found the stairs to be quite lethal! If you are anything less than able-bodied, partially sighted or have young children, then this property is not for you.

We had a lovely stay at Yeomans cottage, a lovely welcome through the really pretty cottage garden. The interior of this ancient cottage with its typical Norfolk winding stairs was clean, and beautifully and tastefully furnished and decorated with all top knotch equipment. Every need had been considered. The town itself was interesting with all thRead moree shops you could need and a couple of good pubs. There is a magnificent abbey to explore and super countryside walks as well as a steam train station where you could travel to nearby Dereham. We were very happy with our stay. Hide
