This charming cottage is one of ten set around a small courtyard which is used for access and also parking of occupants cars. As such, dogs must be carefully controlled when entering or leaving via the front door. The pleasant garden belonging to the cottage is separate, accessed some 100 yards away by a pathway adjacent to the complex. The cottageRead more itself comprises a traditional 'two up, two down' arrangement linked by a steep staircase. The third single bed is actually on the open stair landing between the bedroom and the shower room, and as such has no privacy. The doorway into the double bedroom is very low (about 5ft.4ins.) and despite warning signs fixed each side of the lintel, it is very easy for people taller than this to hit their heads. This cottage is very well appointed and equipped and everything worked well, although the TV is very small. The sliding screen between the sitting room and kitchen was useful for containing our dog at night. This delightful cottage is really best suited to a youngish couple who are not too tall! Hide

It is quaint and overall feels a friendly place. The property is well refreshed and modern with still a memory of its former self. The separate garden is a treat indeed with the Summer house and a place of peace and tranquillity. Perfect for a couple.

Enjoyed our time at the cottage. Very comfortable and had everything we needed. The garden however is complete separate to the cottage and is accessed by a narrow grassy path. It is not lit and difficult to see where you are going in the dark. We did take a lantern with us which was very useful. The are is lovely and near to Sheringham, which was Read morelovely. Hide

As a cottage the Hoot was acceptable but as a Dog Friendly cottage it missed the mark, with the (excellent) garden 150 yards away it was not at all convenient for us and our dogs.

A lovely cottage ideally situated for Holt and the beautiful North Norfolk coast. We loved the bird themes around the house, very much in keeping with the name of the property and especially the curtains & lampshades in the bedroom! The cottage is well equipped although the clothes hanging facilities are a little unconventional! If you're exRead morepecting a large screened TV you may be disappointed however, it was not high on our priority list! We prefer being outside exploring the local area which certainly has plenty to offer. We were out and about most of the time so did not use the garden or summerhouse. The garden is a short walk from the property and would be a great space to relax especially in the warmer weather. Thank you. Hide

A lovely, well equipped cottage. Very cute. Good shower, good bed. The garden is a short walk away where we enjoyed a nice bottle of wine in the late afternoon sun.

A lovely, clean, cosy cottage in a great location close to lots of good days out (Sheringham, Amazona Zoo and Edgefield Pottery for example). Very good kitchen and bathroom, comfortable beds and the garden down the pretty lane is a nice place to read a book. If you are over 5'4" mind your head upstairs, though. Would book this again!

Lovely comfortable and modern cottage and close to all the beaches, parks etc. Very fortunate the weather improved on Tuesday and we enjoyed some lovely days on the coast. Also enjoyed the garden and summerhouse at the end of the day with a Gin & Tonic.
