This is a lovely house perfect for us with two dogs. All facilities were excellent and the house was very comfortable. Beer is a wonderful small harbour village and plenty of beautiful countryside to walk.

Enjoyed our stay over a sunny weekend in March. Property clean and comfy, but be aware of the steep incline from the tight parking space to the cottage. Bring your own toiletries. (none provided)

Nice house, only just has a sea view, it's mostly obscured by a huge fir tree. Quite a long walk from where you park to the property. Other than that, the house is all up together and in a quiet location. Three out of five.

Theres a great coffee table and dining table for board games and seating outdoors too. Beer is such a beautiful little village and we loved our long weekend heRead morere. Hide

Comfortable cottage, ideal for 2 as 2nd bedroom very tight. Parking was a challenge with the steep drive. Would recommend property but needs to be made clear of the steep access especially for people with health conditions & or mobility problems

Well located for access to the village. Bedrooms are small but nicely decorated, as are the bathrooms. The parking access/turning is very tightbe aware of this if you have a larger car. The garden is NOT enclosedso pet owners need to know this before booking.

A lovely place to stay with good facilities (particularly liked the speed wash setting on the washing machine!!). Loved the upstairs patio area as it caught the sun at the right times for sitting out to read my book! Close to the village shop (very well stocked) and the beach. Highly recommend.

Great base for walking routes, cosy and comfy. Not much in the way of shops in Beer, the nearest supermarket is in Seaton which is a short drive away but was a great place for a short stay. The house is well equipped and located a short walk from where you park the car up for short sharp incline and sadly for us the garden was not enclosed which Read moremeant we had to take the dog out on the lead as he could have got out to the road. We had a great time and thought the cottage was lovely, however there were a couple of things that let it down and I would not rate 4*. 1. The sofas were really small and uncomfortable and most evenings we resorted to lying on the rug. Cosy sofas would transform the sitting area. 2. The tv was small. This is very subjective I know but in the wintRead moreer nights most people will settle down to a good film on the sofas and we struggled to do this. 3. Bedroom 2 was very small for 2 adults, maybe only suitable for children? The bulkiness of the bed frames did not help. 4. The distance from the car to the property was hard work with all our luggage. 5. It would have been a lovely gesture for Christmas decorations to be provided. I have spoken to friends about this and all have said when they go away for Christmas the house is decorated. We had to bring our own tree etc which was disappointing. 6. I would have given very good for cleanliness but there were a lot of cobwebs in the property. 7. With regard to the view I would personally cut down the large fir tree just to the front of the property. Hide

This is a lovely, cosy house, up the hill from the town centre , in a quiet location. Nicely furnished, with a well equipped kitchen , outdoor seating area and our little dog appreciated being able to explore the grass area beyond the decking. Ideal for visiting other local beaches , villages and places of interest.

The beautiful and modern property exceeded our expectations in terms of its comfort and cleanliness. Beer is a short walk away although down (and back up) a relatively steep hill so may not be suitable for everybody. Lovely views from the front of the house with lots of friendly birds to admire. Highly recommended.
