When to first enter the cottage is stunning but then on closer inspection it needs to be spruced up, upstairs bathroom wall behind the door, french doors in the kitchen really hard to open. Lounge very basic could do with a smart TV but clean and tidy and a central location to some wonderful beaches.

Lovely cottage that feels very homely and warm. We (three couples and a dog) stayed over Christmas and the house was beautifully decorated for the festivities which was very much appreciated! Although the immediate location doesn't offer much, the house is within an easy drive to lots of Norfolk's best spots - Burnham Market, Wells-next-the-sea, Read moreSandringham, Blakeney Point etc. It was nice to have the little garden for our dog to use but we didn't feel comfortable letting her off the lead as the main gate had a tendency to swing open. The property is in a great position to explore the surrounding areas of Norfolk. Set in a charming village, very peaceful surroundings. The cottage could be a great place to stay if a few things were added and upgraded.

Despite some issues, the cottage is lovely and ideally located for exploring north Norfolk. All issues could easily be rectified and make this an exceptional property; just a bit more attention to detail...this said, we would definitely stay at Alcock cottage again!

What a find! A beautiful cottage, very clean and spacious and lovely decor. The beds and bedding were SO comfortable. We took our dog and the wrap around garden was big and completely secure, (there is a gate which you cant see on the photos). It also meant we could let our youngest child outside without fear of her running off. Location was grRead moreeat, around 20 mins to Brancaster beach, and 20mins to the sandringham estate which is a must. Its beautiful, and has a great play area for free! (The gin bar is also amazing, best gin Ive ever had). Will 100% be returning next year. This was the nicest Uk holiday weve had so far. Hide

The house was a great size for our party, the cleanliness was good and the room sizes were brilliant. Thank goodness for the welcome directions otherwise we would have struggled finding the property. We took two small dogs and as a small note which isnt towards the owners more to other guests renting this property with small dogs - they can fit undRead moreerneath the gate so cannot be outside without supervision. We really enjoyed our stay, the kitchen was of a high spec and would definitely stay here again. Hide

The cottage is well presented and comfortable, however the heating system needs to be better controlled as the temperature became very hot in the evening despite turning the thermostat down. Overall the cottage is well equipped.
