This group of bright, fresh and inviting holiday cottages are in the picturesque village of Chedgrave, with the friendly small town of Loddon just a mile down the road, offering a range of fantastic places to eat and drink. The historic city of Norwich is to the west (11 miles), with its popular market, medieval castle, two beautiful cathedrals, the vibrant Norwich Lanes, many great eateries showcasing the Norfolk foodie scene and the idyllic Plantation Garden. To the east is the breathtaking Hardley Flood, a beautiful site on the cusp of the Norfolk Broads, which offers 125 miles of waterways for you to explore. Local attractions include Pettitts Animal Adventure Park, the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum and the popular seaside resort of Lowestoft (all within 17 miles).
Three individual cottages make up this group, sleeping a total of 10 people.
The Workshop
Approached through the landscaped parkland of a private school, this pretty getaway is set on one level and features a lovely open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Offering a Smart TV and comfortable seating, the lounge makes a great space to snuggle up in the evening, watch an old movie, catch up with a good book or chat about the day’s events. You can share a fantastic romantic meal for two around the central dining table as you plan the next day’s adventures. Towards the back of the room, the stylishly arranged kitchen has plenty of equipment including an electric oven, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer and a microwave. At the end of the day when it’s time to retire for the night, head through to the cosy and tastefully decorated bedroom where you will find a comfortable double bed. The accommodation is rounded off with a refreshing bathroom which is complete with an electric shower over the bath and a WC.
Stepping outside through the patio doors, the fully enclosed courtyard has a choice of outdoor furniture and makes a delightful space for a morning coffee and dining alfresco. The courtyard shares an entrance with the property next door, and there’s a large, shared lawn around the properties. Private parking is available for one car.
The Cart Lodge
As you step into this spacious and welcoming ground-floor lodge, you will be greeted by a bright and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which makes a relaxing space for you to unwind in after a day spent exploring this scenic part of Norfolk. The lounge features a Smart TV, plenty of seating and a selection of books and games, providing a quiet spot to watch a movie or chat about the day. The dining area is by the French doors, and is perfect for getting together to enjoy a hearty family meal which you can cook in the attractive kitchen, fully equipped with an electric oven, washer, dryer, fridge/freezer and microwave. For the end of the day there’s a lovely choice of two cosy bedrooms, a pretty double room and a fresh twin room – both decorated in light, relaxing tones. Finally, the property features an invigorating and stylish bathroom complete with an electric shower over the bath and a WC.
Outside, the fully enclosed courtyard has plenty of outdoor furniture, shares an entrance with the property next door, and makes a lovely spot for dining alfresco at the end of a great day out. Just beyond the courtyard, there’s a large, shared lawn offering plenty of space for children to run and play. Private parking is available in the courtyard for two cars.
The Granary
As you enter the property via the enclosed courtyard garden, you move into the open-plan lounge, kitchen, and dining area with its comfortable seating, a dining table for four guests, and a kitchen that offers all you could wish for rustling up a comforting meal. Head up the spiral staircase to find the two bedrooms: one double and one twin, both tastefully furnished to offer guests a comfortable night's rest. You will also find the bathroom on this floor.
To the front of the property is your very own enclosed courtyard with garden furniture. Ideal for enjoying the last of the day's warmth and sunshine. To the side of the property, there is also a shared lawned garden with a picnic bench, the perfect space for children to play.
