Beautifully restored character cottage, set in the heart of the countryside village of Southrepps. No.4 Church Street has a lovely central position in the village, within easy walking distance to a shop, post office and traditional pub. Set within a beautiful conservation area with direct walks and cycle paths onto the Paston Way, Weavers Way and Quiet Lanes scheme, all of which provide many miles of lanes, paths and bridleways around the countryside towards the North Norfolk Coastal path or Bittern Line rambles. Southrepps is great for exploring the North Norfolk coast with so many wonderful beaches close by, Mundesley, Overstrand and Cromer are all within easy reach. The Norfolk Broads and cathedral city of Norwich are only 30 minutes' drive away or visit the nearby Georgian market towns of Aylsham and Holt. The National Trust properties of Felbrigg and Blickling also make for a great day out.

Stylishly restored to a very high standard with muted Farrow and Ball colours and elegant vintage furniture throughout, the cottage retains much of its original charm and character. Opening into the living and dining area there are two comfortable sofas set around a wood burning stove, a Smart TV with Netflix, a DVD player and selection of classic films, a variety of vintage board games and a Roberts bluetooth stereo for streaming your own music. There is also a large antique farmhouse table with seating for four; great for playing games or for cosy dining next to the fire. Leading into the kitchen area from the living room via a light inner hallway, you can gain access to a useful downstairs shower room and toilet. The kitchen is light, spacious and well equipped with solid woodwork surfaces and quality cookware, crockery and breakfast table. There are double French doors opening directly into the large, completely enclosed southeast facing garden. Back inside the cottage, there is a door leading from the living room to the stairs, two bedrooms and main bathroom. The main bedroom has exposed beams and stripped oak floorboards, pretty dual aspect southwest facing windows and a kingsize bed. The second bedroom is a cosy twin with two single beds, also with stripped oak floorboards and sheepskin rugs. The main upstairs bathroom is completely renovated with beautiful roll top bath and views over the garden, perfect for a relaxing soak after a busy day walking through the countryside or at the beach.

This must be one of the best cottages we have stayed in for this area. It is very well equipped and had everything we wanted. The walks around the village are lovely and there is a shop nearby. It is decorated and modernised in a sympathetic way, so as not to spoil the original charm of it's character. The back garden is also tranquil and very invRead moreiting to go and sit in for a while. As there were 4 of us and one dog staying here, there was 2 cars. Our friends parked outside in the road, but we parked in The Vernon Arms carpark next door. I went in and introduced myself and explained there was no room, so could not park in the road. They were very obliging and we used this lovely food and drink pub several times in the evenings, so they got to know who we were. We would recommend this cottage to anyone wanting a good base for visiting nearby areas, and would definitely want to come back ourselves in the near future. Hide

We had a lovely stay at No.4 Church St, Jackie was very accommodating particularly for a last-minute booking. The cottage was a great size for our family of 3 (plus dog) - its kitchen was surprisingly big and very well-equipped and the beds were comfortable. A really lovely cosy cottage. The decor and garden is adorable and we felt really at home. Lovely touch with the dog biscuits and Prosecco that was left for us. We slept really well and had a very comfortable stay. Great location too.

It's a lovely cottage in a great location. Also the garden is great, well kept up and private. The pub next door is 5* and their customers didn't cause us any noise problems.
