If you fancy surfing, Bude beach (14 miles) is a lovely spot and the town has some great restaurants, shops and a castle. Finish the holiday by grabbing your binoculars and watching the wildlife in National Trust Dunsland (4 miles), where you can see dormice, sparrowhawks and roe deer.
