This charming cottage is situated in the tranquil Yorkshire Dales village of Spennithorne within close distance to the nearby market town of Leyburn (1.5 miles) which offers a range of traditional shops, pubs and cafes gathered around a handsome town square which hosts a weekly market on Friday. Leyburn is also home to the famous Tennants auction house. Other local towns include Richmond (10.5 miles) and Middleham (3 miles) where you will find the ruins of Richard III's castle, visit to the brewing centre of Masham and sample some locally brewed beer and gin. Attractions include The Forbidden Corner (5.5 miles), Aysgarth Falls (8.5 miles) and Bolton Castle (7.5 miles). The cottage is perfect for walkers and cyclists exploring the Yorkshire Dales, each of the Dales making up the National Park has its own individual character, which changes with the seasons and even from hour to hour. It is a fascinating area with which you will never become bored.

Renovated in 2023, a stone-built cottage offers a perfect blend of rustic charm and contemporary comforts creating a cosy and inviting atmosphere. Formerly converted from the 200-year-old stables and coach house of the old Rectory. Enter the cottage into the light and airy kitchen diner, fully fitted with a good range of appliances, whip up a delicious meal and dine around the table planning your next adventure. After your meal, walk through to the lounge and relax on the large corner sofa. There is a Freeview TV and DVD player for your evening entertainment and plenty of board games and books are provided. At the end of the evening, venture upstairs to discover two lovely bedrooms, a super-king-size room which can be a twin on request and a double bedroom, both with room to store your belongings. Enjoy a refreshing shower in the morning in the stylish bathroom.

Head outside to the south-facing walled courtyard which overlooks the 12th-century Church. Take a seat on the bench with a cup of tea or your favourite tipple.

A very clean and compact cottage in a delightful peaceful setting. The cottage made an ideal base for exploring the lovely North Yorkshire attractions.
