The impressive beach of Porth Neigwl is a couple of hundred metres away thanks to private access via the farmhouse field to the coastal path. A well known spot for surfing and other water sports, with over 4 miles of flat sand and stunning views to Bardsey Island (Ynys Enlli), you won’t be bored at Porth Neigwl. The property is ideally situated to take advantage of the beautiful coastal scenery. Additionally the property has its own wind turbine, air source heat pump and solar panels. There is an infinite array of outdoor activities locally, including walking the fabulous Welsh coastal path, swimming, surfing, paddle boarding, or further afield, hiking in Eryri (Snowdonia) or on the local hills and hill fort of Tre’r Ceiri and Yr Eifl.
Fferm Ar Y Mor retains a mix of original features and furniture combined with modern pieces. Relax and unwind in the lounge which features comfortable seating, restored chairs, a cosy wood burner and a large Smart TV. The first of the eight tastefully decorated bedrooms is on the ground floor: a beautiful double bedroom and adjoining wet room, both suitable for all, including guests with limited mobility and wheel chair users. Exploring further, the large kitchen and dining room has the original large oak dining table and is equipped with a double Rangemaster oven, two sinks and two dishwashers, a large larder, separate double fridge, and double freezer. While preparing your meal, enjoy the scenic views of the sea from the large windows and at mealtime sit down, enjoy and socialise with all your guests.
Access to the main staircase is via the large hallway with the original floor tiles, which also connects to the front and side external doors. Going up the stairs, stop to admire the restored coloured glass panels depicting scenes from Porth Neigwl bay and the local flora/fauna before you gain the first floor. From the first-floor landing, you will find three further bedrooms, two double and one twin. The first floor also features an additional sitting room with smart TV which can be used as a reading or games room; completing this floor, there is a bathroom with shower over the bath and WC, and a separate shower room with walk-in shower and WC. Head up to the second floor, where you can enjoy the stunning panoramic views of the countryside and the sea; on this floor, you will find a further four rooms, one double and three twin. This floor has a shower room and a separate WC.
Outside there is dedicated driveway with parking for multiple vehicles next to the front door of the property, plus benches and seating for eating and socialising al fresco. There is a paddock field where you can play ball games. There is also an adjoining garage with storage for equipment as well as a washing machine and tumble dryer and large barbeque unit for guest use.
