Prepare yourself for a truly incredible holiday. This spacious stone cottage, located on a working farm in rural Devon, is rated 5*, can accommodate a mixed group plus five dogs, and you can even bring your horses. The holiday resort has on-site services including beauty treatments, and you’ll have a private hot tub.

Enter the property for an airy, open-plan reception/dining area/lounge, overlooked by a mezzanine landing. The place is full of natural light through the glass patio doors and surrounding windows, and in the evening, you can make use of the wood burner, set in a stone inglenook fireplace. Continue through an archway to find a spacious and well-equipped kitchen. Also on the ground floor is a bathroom with shower over the bath and WC. Head up the stairs and take the time to notice the exposed beam and vaulted ceiling. Here, you’ll find a family bathroom with a freestanding bath and a huge shower, a twin bedroom, a king-size bedroom, and another king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room. Outside, there’s a private patio, perfect for fabulous evenings in. You’ll see a dining area, and then a hot tub for a long, slow soak. Guests have access to shared grounds, including a play area for children and three lakes for fishing.

You’ll be staying in the centre of Devon, surrounded by beautiful countryside and fascinating history. The Stone Lane Gardens, 4.5 miles away, are well worth a visit, and you’ll see sculptures and rare plants. Further along there’s Castle Drogo, 6.5 miles, a mock medieval castle with extensive grounds, situated on an ancient gorge. If you’d like a day on the coast, try Dawlish (26.5 miles), a bustling seaside town with a main beach and a few quieter spots, plus pubs and fish and chip shops.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hollyhock. A lovely and spacious converted barn with everything you need for humans and your furry best friends. The location was ideal and we enjoyed the peace and quiet. The hot tub was a bonus after a trek up Haytor Rock and Canonteign Falls! Would definitely return to Hollyhock!

Cottage was lovely and more than we expected. We originally booked leafy nook but for a reason we don't know we got changed to holly.hock. for us leafy nook had grass area for the dogs and only had 1 large door so was less open in the way of people.walling around. (Our dogs protect us so whenever people walk around they will.bark).holly.hock had 2 Read morehuge open glass doors meaning we had alot of barking when men kept walking around. Also in this patio you only get sun in the morning for an hour or so ans then it's blocked by the other house. But again leafy nook original booking had it all day. Having no grass in the little.patio was a little harder for dogs but not the end of the world. Showers were lovely pressure. We didn't have a lot.of.hot water sometimes and the shower heads were broken so water would spray out the joins (reported this but no-one attended) Hot tub was lovely. (Had to call help as didn't work) but it was due to an incorrect screen meaning buttons needed were hidden. But that was sorted straight away. Kitchen was lovely and clean but not enough utensils, pots and pans so struggled to cook with somethings. Only 2 pans worked on the induction hob. There was tea and coffee and milk put for us when arrived, was a nice touch after a long drive. Bedrooms were lovely, and beds so comfortable and clean. We did have to.empty.some.bins when arrived as there was rubbish left in them in bedroom with ensuite. Over all we were blessed with the weather and was a nice comfortable holiday. We wouldn't return to holly.hock as this didn't meet the needs for the dogs and the requirements of the no bark.policy. which for us was rather annoying aswell.as didn't want to upset people but couldn't block the hude doors. We would return if leafy nook was available though. Hide

This cottage is completely faultless! It's an amazing place to stay. It's spotlessly clean, comfortable, and has the wow factor. The surroundings are beautiful, with lakes, geese, swans, and ducks. We've been before and will come again. The dogs adore visiting here, too!

We had a fantastic stay at this spacious property. The tall mezzanine feature and large doors created a welcoming atmosphere, and the enclosed garden was perfect for our dog. Our children loved the play park in the field, and we found the living area spacious with plenty of comfortable seating for relaxing in the evenings. The large dining table easily accommodated all six of us, and the well-equipped kitchen made cooking dinner a breeze. The location was peaceful and relaxing, set in the countryside yet only about 15-20 minutes from local attractions. Overall, a truly enjoyable experience! Hide

We had rented this property a few years ago and it was impeccable, since the change of owner the standards have gone down hill and due to the hot tub not being cleaned and stinking we were unable to use it. We contacted the owner but they were unwilling to offer any resolve. I would NEVER rent this property again.

Beautiful property in amazing grounds. We visited with five dogs so the dog field was great and well used by us. Beds were comfortable although the bedrooms were very warm { probably due to the unexpected sunshine }. Very well equipped property, had every thing we needed Hot tub was a great addition
