Broadstairs is perched on a cliff top offering beautiful views across the English Channel; it is an ancient place, originally a fishing village and now referred to as the Kent Riviera. Conveniently located, this property is located equidistant to two fabulous sandy beaches: Stone Bay to the left and Viking Bay to the right, which is gloriously sandy. To the north, there is Joss Bay, a surfer’s paradise, and Botany Bay, perfect for fossil hunting and relaxation. Enjoy Italian ice cream with a view, visit the Dickens House Museum and the several art galleries, cafes, and bars. Situated between Margate (4 miles) and Ramsgate (3 miles), you can visit The Turner for some culture or the Ramsgate Tunnels for an injection of war-time history. Musical events are held throughout the year at the Bandstand in Victoria Gardens and there is a championship designed mini golf course which has its own tea garden!

A bright hallway welcomes you into this lovely property with a storage cupboard for your flip-flops and walking boots as well as plenty of room for the buckets, spades and fishing nets. Into the colourful sitting room with two sofas and two armchairs gathered around a cosy wood burning stove. There is a Smart TV with a Sky package and stylish window shutters. The kitchen is fully equipped to ensure you can whip up a meal with an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, dishwasher, and a Nescafe Dolce Gusto coffee machine. There is also a washing machine. At the back door there is a cloakroom and access to the Moroccan themed courtyard garden. Head upstairs to the first floor, which has one king-size bedroom and one double, both with fitted wardrobes, full length mirrors and window shutters. There is a study with a fitted desk and chair and the family bathroom which has a shower over the bath, a double washbasin, an infrared touch screen mirror and a WC. Up the winding staircase to the attic room and you will find a spacious dual aspect king-size bedroom which has an en-suite shower room and WC. The view from this bedroom is typical of Broadstairs with the sea and the famous Bleak House, which is only a stone's throw away. At the top of the landing, there is a mini fridge with a kettle, ready for your morning cuppa or a chilled glass of something while relaxing in bed watching the TV.

Outside, there is an enclosed courtyard with Moroccan tiles and garden furniture where you can relax after an enjoyable day having fun on your quintessentially English seaside holiday. There is parking on-street when available and there is further on-street parking on the Eastern Esplanade.

Beautiful cottage, excellent location, very spacious. In all my years of renting holiday cottages Id have to say this one was top, so well equipped with quality kitchen ware, utensils etc. The bedrooms were great, very comfortable and excellent linens. A real home away from home. Only better. Perfect for a get-together with family members visiting from the continent via Eurotunnel. Our search criteria were a pet-free property with a minimum of 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, of which there were surprisingly few available on the Isle of Thanet. Beachtown Cottage was a lovely place to eat and relax togRead moreether. We were easily able to park two cars in nearby streets (in October). One was parked and not moved throughout our stay because everything was so conveniently close. Delicious bread and pastries only a 5-minute walk away at the New Old Bakehouse. We also found the information in the folder helpful. Following recommendations, we enjoyed walking north along the coast to Ramsgate and visiting Ramsgate Tunnels. All in all, excellent accommodation in an excellent location. Hide
