Perfect for a family holiday or relaxing sojourn with friends, the property overlooks the vast, unspoilt beach which is dog friendly all year round. Two pubs lie within 400 metres of the property, on the seafront, while the nearby fish and chip shop (400 metres) and small supermarket (within 1 mile) mean you don’t have to travel far for lunch or essentials. On the outskirts of the village, Africa Alive Zoological Reserve (1.5 miles) makes for a fantastic family day out. To the north of Kessingland is Lowestoft (7 miles), with its sandy beaches and family attractions, and to the south, explore the traditional seaside town of Southwold with its pier and promenade. Inland, the Norfolk Broads are waiting to be discovered – Oulton Broad is just 7.5 miles away.

Making up one of the lodges in the Castaways Complex, this family friendly holiday home for five is a wonderful seaside escape that boasts sea views and your very own hot tub. We have just enjoyed a week in Lodge 5 which is ideally situated overlooking the sea, with direct access to the beach at the end of the garden. The lodge was clean, brightly decorated, well equipped with lovely towels and comfortable beds. The quality leather sofa in the lounge was especially comfortable to relax in the evenings. The hot hub was grRead moreeat after a day out exploring. The whole place was well kept, and everyone we met was extremely helpful and friendly. The free welcome basket of crisps, cakes and cookies was very welcome. We would definitely stay again. Thank you for a lovely week x Hide

We really enjoyed our stay. A very comfortable chalet with good kitchen equipment and facilities. We loved the welcome basket, a very nice gesture. The hot tub was great too. Overall, really lovely accommodation with an amazing view of the sea to wake up to each morning.

Good position near the sea, excellent for dog walking. Very well equipped lodge, everything that you might need is there. Good quality bed linen and comfortable beds, though could do with a lick of paint to freshen up.

Lovely location step out of the property onto the coastal path and onto the all year round dog friendly beach, the view from the property is fabulous you can see the beach and sea and there is also a lovely little garden with furniture to relax on on those hot sunny days. Walk 10 minutes along the beach and you come to a nice little cafe and the SRead moreailors rest pub serving food all day or if you fancy it Fish and chips in the local chip shop. There is also a nature reserve at the end of the beach for those interested, helps to have a car if you want to go exploring nearby towns and villages and the costal towns are fabulous. The property itself needs updating as its tired and the cleaning could have been better, the seating is a bit strange not enough relaxing seating for the amount of people accommodated for but ample if not to much dining seating. There was however everything we needed for our stay plenty of cooking equipment and crockery and the welcome pack was much appreciated and little touches like gift toiletries. We stayed in May when in other parts of the country and some Suffolk towns dont allow dogs on the beach between May- Sept Kessingland beach is an all year round dog friendly beach so ideal for those taking their canine family with them to explore. Great location directly overlooking the sea. Small issue around wood supply as not clearly stated this was not included but contacted owner who was very helpful and supplied some wood for us straight away.
