Situated in a tranquil setting on the grounds of an old manor house, this former cart lodge has been converted into a modern holiday home for two. Surrounded by countryside yet close to the gorgeous seaside town of Aldeburgh (7.2 miles) this property boasts the best of both worlds. The village of Snape is only 3 miles away and has a great selection of pubs to enjoy during your stay. The incredibly popular, Snape Maltings is also a must visit, with its array of independent shops, eateries, and performance venues. This heritage site is set on the banks of the River Alde in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where you can take a boat trip along the water to see the abundant wildlife and stunning views. If you are looking for peace and quiet, then look no further than this pretty bolthole for your next romantic retreat.

This single storey holiday home is the ideal escape for two guests. Step inside and you are welcomed into the large sitting room which has a roaring wood burner to keep you warm during the chillier months. Snuggle up by the fire following a day exploring the local area with a great book or a film on the smart TV. The kitchen is fully fitted with all appliances and equipment for your self-catering stay but if you fancy a night off cooking, there are plenty of lovely pubs and restaurants in neighbouring Snape or Aldeburgh to try. A generous bedroom offers a king-size bed for your stay and with use of a modern shower room too.

The garden is beautifully landscaped and captures the morning sunshine making this the perfect spot for your first cup of coffee. A bistro table and chairs offer a lovely place to dine outside in the summer or to sit and watch the stars in the evening.

We had a super few days at the cottage, a really warm and cosy retreat. It is ideally situated to visit nearly the whole of Suffolk As it is all on one level it makes it ideal with anybody with mobility issues.

What a shame this used to be lovely place Now very tired and in need of a makeover Not helped by part of the new A12 being constructed right near to the property making the wonderful landscape and walks from the door a very different outcome ! Superb shower and comfy bed are the good points. Don't expect a welcome pack and ensure that you take the essentials and basics with you. You will need to take washing up liquid for example!

Nice cottage approached along a very rural bumpy track, you are definitely in the countryside here. Large accommodation with good shower and comfortable bed. Small fenced off garden for our furry friend. Well equipped kitchen. The cottage looks as if its had a long hard season and could do with a bit of tlc.
