Nestled on the outskirts of Bampton, within the heart of North Devon countryside, this home offers a lovely blend of both quaint countryside and rugged Devon coastline within easy reach. Enjoy the sound of crackling twigs beneath your feet as you stroll the scenic walking routes from your doorstep, with lush greenery and winding rivers sure to be on route, and why not even let those four pawed friends tag along too. The area surrounding the property not only has a large number of picturesque villages and hamlets to explore, but also offers easy access into Exmoor national park (5 miles) with its wild ponies, wooded valleys and rushing rivers. A trip to Knightshayes Court (7 miles) is a great day out, this spectacular 19th-century house, owned by the National Trust, is full of quirks and curiosities and set in acres of glorious gardens and parkland.

Stepping into the home you will immediately find yourself in the opening hallway, with access to the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner and downstairs WC. The lounge area provides a relaxing space with a comfortable sofa and two additional armchairs from which to enjoy your favourite films on the Smart TV after a day of adventuring across North Devon. The kitchen area is also well equipped providing everything you need for a stress free stay, whilst there is also ample seating for all guests on the accompanying dining table. Heading upstairs is where you will find the two bedrooms within the property, both of which provide king-size beds and ample clothing spaces. Completing the home is the family bathroom, which has a walk-in waterfall shower and WC.

Stepping outside from the lounging area guests have a spacious enclosed rear garden with a patio and lawn. There is also comfortable outdoor seating to sit back, relax and share your favourite moments of the holiday over a nice BBQ. To the front of the home guests have off-road parking for one car, whilst there is also plenty of roadside parking available. Finally, guests also have use of an EV charging point situated on the driveway.

We had a fantastic holiday. The accommodation was fantastic, very clean and very dog friendly. The location was great for exploring and the host was brilliant. I would definitely recommend this accommodation.

The property was very clean and well equipped, it had everything we needed and more! We really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend it to anyone. Neighbourhood is friendly and good for dog walks. Nice enclosed garden for the dogs, and the owners left us bowls, towels and even treats which were gratefully received! Thank you very much.

Modern, newly built, so everything was new and fine. Very warm welcome with some nice things like fresh eggs, regional apple juice and so on. For non-british guests the separation of the waste might be explained a little bit clearer, to enable helping to separate correctly. Equipment was exceptional, the best we ever had.

Such a lovely house and owner. There was milk cake and some juice when we arrived and, even though it dog didn't come with us there was everything you'd need if he had come. The house was better equipped than home and it was comfy and cosy. There was plenty to do in the area and further afield. We had a brilliant holiday based in Brampton.

Fab place to stay, Steph has thought of everything you could possibly need, including sharp prep knives which are a rarity in holiday homes! She is very welcoming and I would highly recommend and happily stay here again when visiting the area.

I would recommend Birches to anyone! The property itself was beautifully decorated, had everything youd need, dog friendly and spotless when we arrived. Steph was very responsive, updating us re arrival and departure times and the little extras like milk, eggs and treats (for dogs and humans) were massively appreciated.
