Perfect for a big family occasion, or for friends alike, this large house is located on the edge of the East Norfolk coast in the family-friendly village of Bacton. Just a short stroll to the beach and easily accessible on foot, this property is perfectly placed for family fun on the beach. Less than half a mile are some local cafes offering great breakfast or coffee and cake options. If you fancy a change of scenery, Mundesley beach (3.9 miles) offers miles of coastline, as does Happisburgh (3.5 miles) and why not visit the lighthouse whilst you’re there – the oldest working lighthouse in East Anglia.

Enjoy a holiday like no other in this welcoming property, which offers lots of different options for sleeping arrangements and two separate living areas. The first of the communal spaces greets you upon arrival, with a large array of sofa seating, a wood burner and the perfect-sized dining table to seat the whole family; above this open-plan room you will spot some original features from the boathouse. There is a second lounge in case you’d prefer to entertain separately with more comfortable seating – both lounges benefit from Smart TVs. Through the modern, fully equipped kitchen, you will find everything needed to cook a celebratory meal. On the ground floor you’ll also find one double bedroom with an en-suite and a twin bedroom with a shower room next door. Up to the first floor, there are a further three double bedrooms (two of which have en-suites) and another twin, as well as a stylishly modern bathroom.

The house has a fully enclosed lawn and patio garden to the rear, dressed in beautiful outdoor seating and large gas BBQ. In the pool house, the 7m x 3.5m pool is heated year-round, fitted with shower and WC for ease of use. The games room contains comfortable seating, a pool table and a kitchenette area, perfect for all ages to hide away and enjoy quality (or competitive) time together.

Wow! A superb house that met the needs of 4 generations. The swimming pool was a huge hit. This property was picked by us just in case the weather was bad and we would be able to have a swim instead. We were very lucky, we had both!

An absolutely beautiful house which is well kept and extremely comfortable. Everything you need is at the property and it made a fantastic weekend break for a group of friends. Lovely and close to the beach for nice walks and pubs not far away either ! Would 100% come back!

We had an amazing week away at Danecote. The house is perfect for a big family getaway. The pool and games room were a huge hit and enjoyed every day. Danecote was totally perfect for our weekend away. It was for my 70th birthday, and we were 9 adults and 3 children aged 12, 10 and 6. The bedroom configuration was ideal for our needs and the linen, rugs, furniture and bathrooms were beautiful. The living space was also perfect, the table seating for 12, a wonderful large kitchen with every gadgetRead more, gizmo and item you could need. The large fridge and freezer were perfect for storing our provisions and the cooker was ideal. Having a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer was a godsend with so many swims going on we were able to get towels and cosies dry easily. The swimming pool really completed the holiday especially for the children, our youngest grandson gained so much confidence in the water over the 3 days we were there and it was great that it was in a separate building and secure. The pool/ games room proved a great hit with everyone with even a 6 year old learning how to play pool. Being only 5 minutes walk from the beach was ideal for us and the dogs, as you were soon there and we all loved it, even though it was somewhat bracing! As a bonus we found Cafe Carmel, a wonderful vegan cafe with a licence only about 200 yards down the road, we had a fantastic meal there on the Sunday. All in all it was the most perfect house for our needs and I would throughly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful place to stay, Thank you. Hide

We all thoroughly enjoyed Dancote and the teenagers were kept amused with the pool and games room pool table. We all returned to our homes happy!

Its a really beautiful home with some interesting history! Very nicely furnished! Plenty of space for a large group and very clean and tidy. All of the bedrooms were lovely, comfy beds, pillows and duvets. It was also a very warm house. The location was great with a short walk to the beach and we ordered a takeaway from the local Chinese whicRead moreh was nice. We made use of the games room and pool, although the pool was not heated to a warm temperature - it was luke warm. We made full use of the kitchen for an evening meal and had everything that would be needed cupboards wise. And we were left a lovely welcome basket of food on arrival. Parking is a little tricky but with a bit of Tetris we managed to fit 3 cars in and then parked one car across the gate once shut. This is an excellent holiday home. The beach is a 5-10 minute walk and there is a shop, pub, cafe and fish & chips all within walking distance. We were an extended family of 9 and the layout worked out well for us, 4 bedrooms upstairs and 2 down stairs. All bar 2 have an en-suite with those final two upstairs bedrooms sharing the main bathroom. TheRead more lounges, dining area and kitchen are all well equipped. The swimming pool was warm and well used by the kids and is in a separate building which can be locked to stop the kids going in unattended. Great location, near the beach and a playpark, around 5 minute walk. Local shop and chippy within one mile. Lovely swimming pool. Family of 12 (6 adults, 6 children ranging from age 12 to age 4). Double oven and tumble drier meant for easy cooking and drying swimwear.

Excellent holiday cottage for a big family. Lovely having the extra living room and the big bedrooms meant we all had the space we needed. The beach is so close it was excellent. My family loved the short walk to the beach. The pool was the highlight for us. The kids were in it everyday. Shallow end with steps and a deep end. It is also accessed wiRead moreth a key so you feel safe knowing children dont have access all the time. Kitchen is fully equipped for cooking. We managed to cook our Easter lunch for 11 with the two ovens and the big dining table meant we all were able to sit together and enjoy our afternoon.
