Heacham is a delightful North Norfolk village with stunning beaches; North beach and South beach, both within walking distance. A favourite amongst families the promenade stretches along the shoreline to the neighbouring Victorian seaside town of Hunstanton with popular Sea Life Centre and Funfair to visit. Heacham is a firm favourite with families; the calm waters are ideal for paddling or just splashing around. The village itself is well served with three Pubs, all serving food and two mini supermarkets, as well as a variety of independent shops, bicycle hire too! Located on the outskirts of the village is Norfolk Lavender, enjoy the local speciality ‘Lavender cake’ or pop into Farmer Fred’s and let the youngsters run free in the indoor play area or visit the miniature farm. If you're disabled this cottage is not for you. Step into kitchen from lounge quite big. Stairs to bedrooms really hard to negotiate and then further steps into main bedroom. Shower over bath so difficult to use if disabled. Cottage is adequately equipped. No garden apart from small area with 2 chairs and a table that barely fit the space. The cottage was comfortable and welcoming. It could benefit from an addition mirror in the master bedroom, one that does move around!

This is a very nice cottage. We spent a lovely week there, and benefitted from some beautiful weather. The bathroom and Kitchen were very clean and the property looks as though it has recently been redecorated throughout. It is in an excellent position for many tourist attractions and it is also on the bus route, and the buses are very reliable.

The cottage is perfectly located for exploring the Norfolk coast, Sandringham and Wroxham broad. It is spacious downstairs with excellent facilities. I am recently dsabled and had minor problems getting up from the sofas. I was aware of the bathroom being downstairs but by being careful I managed the stairs. Overall the cottage has charm and although the outside sitting area is limited but mitigated by Heacham beach nearby and a long promenade suitable for wheelchair use.. There was only my wife and I so the property more than fulfilled our needs. It would be a challenge accommodating 4 mature adults but when our children were younger they would have loved the bunk beds. The welcome pack was a nice touch. The owners were available if needed but we had no issues at all. Hide

All in all the cottage that we booked very very much last minute was really lovely - big enough for a couple & a doggie - minimal outdoor area to sit / play out in - but close enough to the beach.
