Set in the picturesque Snowdonia National Park, this stunning 18th century, newly renovated country house is surrounded by mountain views and is situated in its own beautiful, peaceful grounds. This attractive and elegant property has been lovingly restored with plenty of large areas making it ideal for a family or friends get away, and there are plenty of different kinds of spaces within the house too, be it for socializing or for some quiet, down time with a book. Tŷ Brithdir boasts two fabulous living rooms with gorgeous fireplaces with wood burners, and one of these offers a working space too, or enjoy the sound system in the evenings; there's also a fantastic kitchen with plenty of mod cons and some seating, and a separate dining room for the more formal meals; and with 4 well-presented bedrooms and 3 bathrooms to make your holiday a little easier, it's a superb place for large groups to get together. This spectacular house is surrounded by fields and great views, with Cader Idris as its backdrop for the complete countryside holiday package. Charming and characterful, with a lovely outside area, perfect for a sociable afternoon of BBQ and drinks, this property is sure to impress.

Situated in the small village of Brithdir, near the old market town of Dolgellau, this property makes a great base for exploring the area - from mountain climbing, hiking, fishing and mountain biking with the well known Coed y Brenin only a fifteen minutes drive away with tracks to suit all ability, as well as other activities available making it a fun day out for all. If walking is more your thing, then you can explore the area on foot with numerous walking trails around which include Torrent Walk, Precipice Walk and the Mawddach Trail, as well as plenty of mountains to climb in Snowdonia National Park which will then reward you with breath-taking views. Your closest beach is the long sandy beach at Barmouth - choose to find a quiet spot to sunbathe or try some paddleboarding. Barmouth is a bustling village with plenty of cafes and restaurants to choose from so you can enjoy a delicious meal at the end of the day, and why not catch the train over the Mawddach River to Fairbourne while you're there, and admire the wonderful views over Cardigan Bay. You can certainly enjoy some relaxing days or adventurous days while staying at Tŷ Brithdir.

  • Bedroom 2: Super king size zip and link bed, two side tables with lamps, clothes hanging space behind door, chest of drawers, full size mirror, small chair, luggage stand and towel rail.
  • Bedroom 3: King size bed, two side tables with lamps, chest of drawers, hanging rack, large dressing table with chair, two large chairs.
  • Bedroom 4: King size bed, two side tables with lamps, double wardrobe, dressing table with stool, two casual chairs with small table and TV.
  • Shower Room: Large walk in shower (overhead and hand shower), WC, wash basin, towel rail.
  • Bathroom: Roll top bath with overhead shower and hand held shower, towel rail, WC, wash basin.

Outside

  • Garden: Private garden from the entrance with table and chairs for eight people, outside cushions, umbrella and charcoal BBQ.
  • Patio: Path down the side of the house which takes you to a small patio entrance that leads you to the kitchen back door and porch.
  • Storage: Secure bike storage with lock and key.

What a wonderful property in a great location with plenty of space for families to get together with plenty of amenities and first class service from host Becky! Nothing and I mean nothing was too much trouble for her even on Christmas Day ! This house is amazing! Everything in it from kitchen equipment to bed linens & soft furnishings is absolutely top spec. Becky, the owner, made sure we had all weekend needed. The location was stunning, some great restaurants close by! We had a wonderful week at Ty Brithdir.

I cannot speak highly enough of this property, the photos do not do it justice. This period home is beautifully presented and far more spacious than expected. Everything you could possibly think of has been provided and is to a luxury standard. Our host Becky was helpful, informative and a pleasure to deal with.
