Property code: OC-EY103

This property, once the village fire station, provides comfortable and luxurious accommodation, with lovely views over open countryside and farmland. It is a fantastic base for those looking to explore both the East Coast and the rolling hills of the Wolds.

The spacious and light open plan living area has underfloor heating and has been decorated with a fire engine colour scheme. The well-equipped kitchen is bright and modern and there is a dining area with a table and six chairs, with a view out of the patio doors to the fields beyond. In the sitting area are sumptuous sofas, where you can relax in the evening and make plans for the next day’s sightseeing. On the first floor are two en-suite bedrooms, the double room boasting a free-standing bath, where you can soak tired legs at the end of the day.

The rear courtyard has a table and bench and overlooks the countryside. Why not enjoy an alfresco meal while counting the local sheep? This property's eco credentials include an air source heat pump and solar power. There is an EV car charger at the parking space (chargeable); guests need to let the owner know if this is required pre arrival. As the former station, the cottage is located on one of the main B-roads to the coast through the village, some road noise may be experienced.

Lovely cottage in a great location. Surrounding countryside is beautiful and there are variety of things to do close by and further afield. The cottage is light, airy and very well equipped. The only thing that lets it down is the cleanliness. Lovely and clean downstairs, but upstairs there are cobwebs on the ceiling and skylights, mould spots oRead moren and under the bath in the main bathroom, shower head unclean in the main bathroom, windows unclean, bathroom bin not clean ( again all in main bathroom). No problem with the toilets and the bedding was fresh and clean. Owner was contacted with a positive response. I would stay again and would recommend to others, although I would also advise maybe taking some cleaning spray and a duster! Hide

Very nice cottage - well equipped - and perfect location for us as we were visiting our son nearby. Not much around for families with children but nice and quiet for us oldies - only the sheep for company!
