Lock Cottage is a charming property situated in the beautiful North Yorks Moors village of Lockton. With its lovely tea room and views of the moors all around, it is a perfect place to stay to explore the surrounding countryside. Pickering with its shops full of local produce and, of course, the steam train is only a few miles away, or visit Thornton-le-Dale, one of the prettiest villages in Yorkshire. In the other direction, it’s only 16 miles to Whitby with its harbour, abbey and famous fish and chips. There are two pubs within 1 mile of the property both offering fantastic food.

The cottage has been furnished and decorated to a high standard; it is very well equipped and has all modern comforts. The open plan living area is a great place to spend time relaxing after a day walking on the moors, or to enjoy the fruits of a shopping trip to the market town of Pickering. Upstairs, three comfortable bedrooms, one with a balcony, a bathroom and the extra bonus of a snug/ games room make this a perfect place to explore the area.

Outside to the rear is an enclosed, south facing garden with generous patio and shrub area. Here you will find a table and chairs with parasol and a barbecue, great for sitting out in the evening and enjoying the country air.

Entrance: Up three steps to the front door and into the hallway. Under stairs cupboard with coat hanging area and storage for highchair.
Cloakroom: With WC and wash hand basin.
Open Plan Lounge/Dining Room/Kitchen: 
Kitchen Area: Spacious modern kitchen with electric cooker and hood over, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer and microwave. Nespresso coffee machine. Digital radio with Bluetooth speaker.
Dining Area: With extending table comfortably seating six on comfy chairs. Two tub chairs.
Lounge Area: One 2 seater and one 3 seater sofa and armchair, nest of tables, wood-burner (starter pack of logs provided). Smart TV/DVD. Patio doors to rear, south facing garden.

Bedroom 2: With super king size zip and link bed (can be two 3ft singles on request), a bedside cabinet with lamp, chest of drawers with lamp, wardrobe and full length mirror.
Bathroom: Bath, shower over the bath and glass screen, toilet, vanity washbasin with lighted mirror over and shaver point, heated towel rail.
Bedroom 3: Super King size zip and link bed (can be two 3ft singles on request) with two bedside cabinets and lamps, chest of drawers, wardrobe full length mirror.
Snug: 2 seater sofa and bean bag, bookshelves with Smart TV and DVD. Two cabinets with lamps, WII games console, board games and DVD's.

Pets: Sorry, no dogs allowed
Parking: Plenty of available on street parking
Garden/Patio: Private, south facing, enclosed garden to the rear with patio and outside seating. BBQ (no charcoal provided).
Heating: Electric heating and wood burner to lounge (starter pack of logs provided).

Lovely location very quiet village, neighbours all very friendly. Cottage is ideal for getting around for sightseeing, local pub friendly and serves lovely food, local shops in Pickering for groceries. Fantastic walks with breath-taking views.
